What I'm seeing is how you are really putting your dinners together. I think you are doing great. The amount you are spending is where you are doing really well. If you think back before the virus, it was considered a norm to be spending 100 dollars per person. With a large family I think you're doing very well. Btw, Happy Birthday Kev!! We say O RE GA NO

Happy birthday Kev!!! I think you should do “home lessons with the girlies” make them do a chore a day even if just wiping a door down each and some form of cooking esp now they’re being home schooled it’s tough when kids move out of home and they have to learn to cook and clean it’s like omg it doesn’t get done on its own? I make mine 7&5 tidy 5 things a day might just be picking something up putting something in the bin sorting a toy box literally doesn’t even take them long but it makes them realise they need to do it xx 😊

Happy birthday Kev 👍🍻🍺🎂🎉 What a great idea getting the older ones to cook and hope that means they wash up too ? and getting them to do their own washing is a great idea as you say they need to learn all these life skills ❤ ❤

Another brilliant food haul. Food is getting more expensive Especially fruit and vegetables. My daughter has taught her 13 son how to cook and Make simple foods and we have a baking session once a week To make cakes pasties etc. but to get him to tidy his room a different matter. My mum always said have a basic stock cupboard beans peas lentils and her favourite a tin of corned beef to make corned beef hash. Happy birthday Kev 21 again.enjoy your meal. ❤🎉

lol you talking about the teens cooking made me chuckle. Alot of my friends say their kids can't cook an egg too so you're not alone.. I've always cooked with my girls infact one is now a head chef. During lockdown i had my then 9 year old making bread, cakes, various dinners all on her own(though she eats limited foods so didn't always eat what she cooked lol) But all my girls i wanted them to beable to cook, clean, do their own washing before they were college age. Now if only i could get the husband to do the same ;) haha

I think Felicity can cook better them Jamie 🤣 I definitely think boys have to have a genuine interest in food to want to learn to cook. Girls just seem to automatically want to learn how to cook. X

We were the same…🙈. Huge shop last week and this week is worse. I am shocking for stocking up with offers. I need to rein it in as well so never feel you are alone in that. Happy Birthday to Kev 🎉.

I think this is a fantastic idea. You are getting the teenagers to cook, when i left home I could cook a pasta dish but not anything else. I also wasn't sure how to use the washing machine. Do have to say though my parents did try and teach me but I wasn't bothered. Love your videos 😀

Hi ,new subscriber here. I'm just wondering what is your budget for the month for food. I spend a small fortune every month on food as i buy lots of whole foods and meat. I make sure to shop at lidl or aldi but it soon adds up. I spend €950 a month for 2 adults and 3 big teens. I tried to get the bill smaller but unless I'm willing to switch to processed food then it's just not possible and I'm not willing to do that. Great haul. Meal plan sounds lovely ❤
@lifeofthebaldwinsАй бұрын
Hi welcome to the channel. I budget for £175 a week, but I definitely spend another £25+ a week on top ups. I'd say we are definitely doing £800 a month. Which is eye watering, but when you break it down to per person per week its actually not that bad. X

I find the cost of your food shopping 🛒 totally credible because I’m on my own and I struggle to keep it in the fourty pound range, and I regularly fail. I’m unwell at the moment and it makes me shudder at the price of lemsip . I’m also incredulous at the lack of basic reasoning from people. You have a full house to feed,all great appetites. Everyone has what they will eat and enjoy and that’s how it should be.. 💜

with felicity having a disability you could have a look and see if you would be entitled to a disability car for her?? I'm not sure how it works in England as I'm in Scotland x
@lifeofthebaldwinsАй бұрын
Getting any form of disability benefits for Crps is very difficult. I'm a member of a few Facebook groups with people who have or have a child with crps, and there are so many stories about how they have tried and been refused as crps is so misunderstood and has no time frame. We don't get any financial support for Felicitys condition. But at present she is doing amazing, I'm hopeful that she will make a full recovery. X
