time for a dart 3.4 shortblock and to start the build for 2025! Their upgraded casting can handle double the power of your current setup. Strip and hot tank your current head, and you can be on the dyno by the new year, then you have all spring to get seat time. Keep pushing Sam!

this sucks but , the engine had a hard life , between FD & the demo days you've done with it & all the testing she's sure had a beating but atleast now we know the limits of that kit , we either come back stronger or just with a little less hp to keep it reliable , treat it as a learning curve & stay positive sam 👍

Turn it down to 800 hp 1000+ for a drift car is just a flex over built it for a safe HP number reliability is better then flex, keep up the good work keep moving forward always do your best and always remember to learn from mistakes you got this I believe in you💪🏾

No matter what the s15 is a F******Rocket!!! Take the time to build it even better... yeah it sucks but it shows that you and the car are growing... maybe you can setup some preliminary things in the ecu to help you with more noticeable warning indicators.... just my 2 cents.... wish you all the best .

Not quite the upcoming you wanted for the season but that little six cylinder worked its ass off for you and just couldn't handle it anymore. Definitely time for a second engine waiting in the wings. Shave as much as you can off that car and come back next year harder and stronger. You did do well this year and it was a good switch with tougher competitive drivers. Don't stop learning and trying you will be a fierce competitor next year.

Maybe you can work with RS garage for the next build. Jay Meagher formerly of Real Street is a bit of a 2J whisperer. Maybe a go fund me for a full blown build. Dart block and dry sump and bc rotating assembly. Keep that block for a backup. Best of luck either way.

Had a short in a fuel pump on my work truck. It was causing a surge (going up in volts) and we went through serpentine belts, an alternator and two a/c compressors (one of which cracked and sounded like a gun being shot) before figuring out the problem. Moral of the story electric shorts can be pricey af.

It's part of racing Sammit. Everything happens for a reason.. ull end up breaking stuff least the car broke and nothing bad happened to u and ur safe so definitely things coulda been worse. Sometimes gotta look at the positives over the negatives that motor could've blew any second and u could've ended up in a wall or something so I mean ya it sucks but least u shut it down when u did.. Great job tho as a driver overall ur an awesome dude

What you need to look at you've had a full year of practice and getting yourself comfortable and everything so now you can get yourself more comfortable and get the car upgraded to were you can do alot more better in your comps and hopefully start winning as yon know it's all a big learning curve with drifting. Keep your chin up and look at what you've gone from and were you are now in the drifting world Sammit it will get easier as time goes on ok.

That motor would have worked for the drag strip,rather than staying in the high rpm for long periods.The same setup would work for lower rpm,with that much horsepower.

It was the two step battle that was it's similar for sure Sam still your first high torque high horse 2jz engine brother you should be proud of yourself you know you've pushed it from day one so it did well if it wasn't for that matter of the two step I think it would have finished the year out just build it for fifteen or two thousand then you won't have to work it as hard might get away with a refresh next time not a full rebuild

That shit sucks for sure, what happened between practice rounds? That's wild it went from sounding fine to sounding like a bunch of rocks in a tumbler. Rebuilding a 1200hp pro car must be painful, I can only imagine. It's just frustrating watching Sam and others in his position constantly struggling with random problems that aren't really their fault. I'd like to see this guy or LZ or Jimmy podium for a change, but something always happens you know? It's not exactly the same but I've been dealing with my car constantly failing for probably the past three years, and it's always something dumb. Just this past week I've had to replace the entire HID ballast & wiring in one headlight that randomly took on water, only for both of my e-fans to die... after partially misdiagnosing it as a stuck t-stat which got replaced yesterday over a few driveway beers (probably a good idea to have replaced anyhow). The best part is both e-fans already died & got replaced with junkyard units last Sept. I'm just buying new motors this time, but I'm about ready to throw in the towel on this thing despite swearing I wouldn't give up on it.

The drop in voltage probably changed the afr enough to cause knock. So tricky to tune an area you should never be in. The dwell time of the injector is controlled by voltage. Although manufacturers give these tables without testing you never know.

We need to bring back 500ps FD cars.. more reliable, cheaper, easier to chase without tons of smoke coming from the lead car, spectators that can actually see the cars more without the tons of tire smoke, you can push harder because cheaper cars = more entertaining, you are not as scared to actually push harder, you could build 2 identical cars for the price of 1 high spec. Did i mention cheaper? Everyone just seems so scared to actually do anything cool, you get the same consistent boring runs from all drivers, the winner is literally not pushing harder for the win, just waiting for everyone else to get mechanical issues, so incredibly boring to watch. Keep drifting fun

I bet the voltage issue hurt the motor. Low on volts = pump doesn't output max capacity then if pressure drops she's gonna get hurt.
