Ive stayed in many Shepherds huts. It was basic but to be honest I loved it! for £20 its great.

I have paid more than £20 for a campsite pitch in the past, and the pitches are packed in like sardines, so actually this seems like not bad value to me. A little bit of TLC and it could be quite charming

I stayed with my family in a roulotte (french shepherds hut) in Calais it was apocalyptic but brilliant the only downside was the road to it wasn't made up so we did two weeks feeling like we had square wheels. We toured all over it was fantastic. Fuel was cheaper so we did a cheeky frites trip to Brussels. To be honest Adam I would've stacked those mattresses. They would be fab if you had folding beds to chuck them on top. Roulottes are a cheap base.

I can't believe you have never heard of the other meaning of nursery, Adam I used to pass 3 nurseries walking to town. Two looked after small children, one sold small plants. I never got them confused. 😂 Perhaps it's not a Northern thing. 😊 I'll be honest, I've slept in a lot worse places than the shepherd's hut. Me and my mates once had to stay in a men's toilet during a storm when we couldn't get a place in the YHA hostel. You don't notice the smell after a while

Adam , Hope you and your mate see this but here is one hotel in Blackpool I loved staying in , was expensive for a weekend but honestly it's lush outside and in ... breakfast was delicious too ! It's called THE Grand hotel:) hope you both get to check it out too and there is a bar etc
