I like how Brian just straight up stopped the car and left his girlfriend in the passenger seat to ride an e-bike. To be fair it is an awesome ebike from what the reviews are making it out to be. The original product is Denzel samurai. I’m sure solar bought a whole bunch of ebikes in bulk in order to sell them over here in the states and make a profit.

People get cocky around them thinking they are toys and that's when things go wrong haha. A past manager of mine had a hayabusa and did wheelies on them at 100+ mph, got on my 72v and almost crashed it within 5 seconds haha.

I also wanted to mention that your Strava stats are super helpful in understanding the range of this ebike. It’s the best of both worlds: carbon fiber for weight reduction, 72v for speed, and stable enough to sustain those speeds. Question: what’s the measurement from front wheel to rear wheel (to see if it will fit in a hatchback) and is the seat too narrow to sit on for 2 hours? The sondors metacycle had a huge problem with the seat width as most couldn’t sit on it for more than 45 minutes

Or belt drive, may be a way to convert. Torque off the line from the mid drive is great and better handling characteristics than a heavy hub motor

@MotoAlias Жыл бұрын
@@michaelenglund this bike is far more capable than any hub motor bike would ever be. It's not a perfect design but it it's a good design. You prob could figure out a belt drive to make it quieter. But it's already gonna be much quieter than a surron or talaria since it's a single chain drive without a surrons jackshaft and belt or a talarias gearbox.
@michaelenglund Жыл бұрын
@@MotoAlias It is not an off road bike so there is no need for an unnecessary belt that can break and it does do some noise.
@MotoAlias Жыл бұрын
@@michaelenglund I know it's not an off road bike im the one that commented on every video that if you jump it or do "extreme riding" that you void your warranty. Also theirs no bash guard to protect the motor. You're response is the exact opposite of what reality is. Belts are not preferred for off road because rocks and shit can get caught in the belt and fuck it up and your off road you don't need a silent belt you need a strong chain. But for road riding belts are near silent and a very smooth ride. You don't want a belt that will break is that right, idk how that will be possible I know Harleys that use belts but they're not as powerful as this little ebike however will you get a belt to work on this ebike???

How does this compare to your 72v sur ron. Really want to get this bad boy. Just found your channel. Love the content. New subscriber.
@JuicedJoyrides Жыл бұрын
thanks! Think of the 72v surron as the weekend sports car and the solar eclipse as a daily driver. I've been enjoying the eclipse for longer cruising style street rides, and the 72v is an untamed animal for stunting and popping wheelies, and extreme acceleration, but not as comfortable to be on for a long time and more fatiguing on the body. New range test video speaking more thoughts on this with the e-clipse soon. Ultimately the e-clipse seems to make most sense as a plated motorcycle.
