That certainly triggered me a little bit. Plus, glossy surfaces should be polished as best as possible before coating to remove marks, small scratches, swirls. claybar is recommended too for a reason, if the bike is used, there's mud and dirt and other stuff stuck at microscopic level in the pores of the paint. If you don't do all that, any imperfection is going to stay there forever under the hardened layer :S

Am i the only one that almost had a heart attack when Chase took the Pani down with one hand on the clutch and the other on the tank?? That screams for disaster! Chase, I own a shop, and sooner or later, experience talking, you will drop a bike this way. Always have two hands on the handlebars and feather the front brake going down. The rule at my shop is rather be safe than sorry, always take extra precaution to prevent possible catastrophe.

@@mglax13 if you are in gear, yes. But that is not my point. If the bike starts to lean a tat too much on the other side, ciao ciao. You ll never catch it. I do this on a daily basis, and no matter your experience, if youre not careful, you ll lose it. Why not have both hands on the bars (might as well use the front brake rather than the clutch with the bike in gear). I would also recommend creating a third point of contact : tank against your waste. Gotta think preventative, why risk damaging someone else’s belonging when you can take an extra step. I think you would appreciate that as a client.

I have always given my bikes a deep clean and polish then applied ceramic, looks brand new all year around and cleaning the bike is literally as simple as pressure washer the dirt off

I would agree with the other comments. Wash, clay, chemical decon, machine polish, alcohol, ceramic coat. And dont put your skin on the paint. Good idea for a vid. And admittedly not everyone has the equipment for a machine polish to correct paint flaws. Still enjoyed it though.

Another thing to mention is that you should always do the clay bar before because otherwise you're locking the contaminates in. Another thing too is when letting it cure before buffing you have to be careful of high spots too. Oh and Ideally you should let it dry either 24 hours or cure it on with a heat lamp. And ideally you want to do a paint enhancement first too to get the most out of it

I assume most people that buy these products aren’t too confident with keeping a heat light on it, paint correcting, or even clay bar. So they just buy it to get the coating on for protection and thats good enough. What you said made me realize some creators advertise the ceramic coatings in a way thats like, “why go to a detail shop thatll charge you so much when you could do it yourself” but dont take account that detailers are actually applying it right taking all the steps that you listed. Its almost like two different tiers so it kinda bugs me when people compare it to a detail shops work.

@@K3470N_ exactly, you can do it yourself. But unless you either happen to do it right or actually know from experience then you aren't going to get the same result. And if I was going to do DIY I would be looking at a detailing/valeting channel and not a channel like this one.

Ceramic coatings are amazing and any one who owns a bike or car should apply this to there ride. I use it on my fleet. Also Blue Gatorade Chase didn't mention this but the ceramic coating should last minimum of 1 year if not 2.

Will ceramic coating cover tiny scratch marks? My panigale has some spots where the rags that I used to wipe it put micro scratches in the fairings. Just wondering if that would do anything to cover it like a clear coat.

Turtle wax's ice seal and shine works just as well and is significantly cheaper and easier to apply. Lasts about 1.5 to 2 months and the bottle lasts forever. You guys should try it out and compare.
