Packages are not technically mail, so yeah. Its why if something gets shipped to you and not the person it was for companies will straight up tell you to keep it as packages do not fall under the same protections of mail.

Some are not legit and likely stolen if not auctioned by usps. Some USPS employees were busted for operating side businesses if "lost" packages.

Like I was working in a call center before and I only had one person ever call because they received someone's order with a separate packing slip and everything. I was told I should ask her to send that order back with a note on the packing slip that it went to the wrong place if it wasn't to inconvient for her.

Well most places only keep their stuff for 30-60 days some even where I am only 18 so if no one comes to collect it or re deliver the package it’ll be sent back to the seller to either sell again or to auction/liquidation if the seller doesn’t want it. Kinda cool but shit if you’re expecting something 🙈🙈

The only reason why I have kept pushing it’s because they were a quite expensive pair of shoes that sadly were a tad too big on me. They ended up refunding me yesterday but I still submitted a claim for a search of the package. I hope Amazon gets them back so they’d finally understand why I got so mad when they sent me an email saying that they’ll process my refund and didn’t need me to send the item and I could do whatever I wanted to do with it like donating, selling, etc. I was like, “how!?! I mailed them on February 10th to you”… oh well!

I've worked for USPS for years now. The only thing that USPS directly liquidates that I'm aware of is lost items that no longer have their origanal packaging. They are sorted into categories, then sold by the pallet. Selling off packages with addresses still on them is 100% not something USPS can do. It could be stuff that was returned to the vendor, then the vendor turned around and sold it, or it could be a scam.

Just playing "devil's advocate" here bc of my items all disappearing over last spring/ early summer and then I started seeing these types of videos and wondering if there could be a connection. NOT with the person filming/ staring in this video...with people handling mail because I definitely did NOT get refunds nor replacements for everything and I lost a job as well as a reviewing position from a company that sent me high end skin care / makeup items for my reviews. Those don't get re sent and you get kicked out for not reviewing etc.

I would cry if any of my orders from fashionphile gets lost. Yes they are authentic, and have authentication. So far I have never had that experience, I hope I never do but my heart breaks whenever I hear/watch a youtuber orders something from fashionphile and they get lost, cuz like bruh you spent so much money and time searching for it then it gets lost. But I must say that the first box from fashionphile, it doesn't seem like anything from fashionphile at all, it seems like the box was just being recycled and sold the bad from poshmark or something. When you mail a package to someone put the person’s full name and address INSIDE of the package too. Put clear tape over the addresses (to and from) so if the package gets wet the addresses are still legible. Use heavy duty clear tape or duct tape to wrap the package. At a Usps facility your package could end up at the bottom of a postal container with heavier packages landing on top. This is the major reason packages break open. Each distribution center has a Rover station that can put back together your broken package. But that will not help if you cannot still read an address on the package or find an address inside.

As a seller on eBay, it makes me so sad when a customer tells me they didn't get their package. I usually sell used designer stuff so it's not like I have another to send to them. And if the tracking says it's delivered, the shipping insurance I pay for these items won't pay out either. It's so annoying. That said, in all the years I've sold on eBay, I've never had a package go missing. It always turns up eventually. Sometimes I think USPS just prematurely marks a package as delivered because they're too lazy (or understaffed) to deliver the goods on time. Because a few days later, my customer will tell me they finally got the package. It's crazy.

@@SL-lz9jr It was a secondhand purchase. A very expensive collection. The crazy part is I got half of it. It was shipped in two boxes same day. I got 1 of 2. It is the strangest thing that has occured. Especially with having it shipped to an APO I have to sign for everything. I have never had this happened to me before and I KNOW it was not an issue with my seller as I have bought many pieces from them before. Just makes me sad. I understand that postal can get crazy due to sheer volume but this is the 1 package I did not want to slip through the cracks.

Same!! Always wanted to try it also and was afraid of all THIS happening to me. She got a couple really cool things to begin with but I feel that was to high of an asking price for the orginial haul. I'd rather hit the airline lost luggage place (in Arkansas maybe? Can't remember). It used to be really cheap but you could really hit it big playing their "roulette wheel" lol
