The airport gives ample time for the owners to come and claim their bags and they go to lengths to try to contact the owner. Normally the airport will have all the bags for over a year before auctioning them off. And for the people saying "they should do a good deed and try to find the owner", y'all are dumb. They could be from a different country or speak a different language so getting their luggage back might be tough. The careful wrapping job indicates that the book were either meant for someone else or important to the owner. Usually people don't wrap their books in bubble wrap.

Several things. One, I get that you spent a lot of money on those bags and you can do whatever you want with them, but please show a little more respect. These things belonged to other people at one point. Two, you need to be more careful and handle things with a little more care and respect. You could have sold those books for a lot of money. Hardcover books, easily five dollars. Paper back books with heavy duty covers and color inside, five dollars as well. Paperback chapter books can sell between one and five dollars.Those Lord of the rings books could have sold for a lot of money, but you ripped open the bag carelessly and tore the box, even worse you removed books from the box and opened them. If they had been worth a lot of money, you just devalued them a lot. Handling those bags and their contents with the care and respect they deserve isn't just morally right. Its the right thing to do financially as well.

Is this even legal? The last time I flew out of town my bag somehow didn’t make it to baggage claim. I honestly think this has to do with the airlines. They steal people’s luggages!! Do not go to the bathroom in between getting off your flight. Go STRAIGHT to claim your bag!! I went to the bathroom and made it to the baggage claim before the bags even started rolling out!! The belt hadn’t even moved yet but MY bag still didn’t come out. I waited and waited and waited! Nothing!! I went to the airline and reported it and then cried my eyes out. It got my bag back. And on a different occasion previous to that, I kid you not, there was an airport worker with a wheelie thing with luggages on it and he had mine in his hand about to put it on there and stroll off!!! I was like “excuse me, that’s MY luggage!!! He had a dumb look on his face and handed it over!!! I was like WOW. Wth was that?! Was he about to steal my luggage!! Dam shame. Do not trust these airlines and watch CLOSELY!!
