A few tips for the Navi. Idle screw is 90% of the battle because these little guys are sensitive to the slightest change. The factory airbox creates a world of issues with the factory carb. I think you'll see after replacing the air box the bike will run so much better. You got one of the harder to tune editions. I have seen that about 2/3 run lean from the dealer and the others run rich. The rich ones are a bear to get right but usually smooth out around 300-400 miles. I have pulled the plugs on 4 of them under 50 miles. Only two had the correct gap from the dealer. If you decide to take the plunge a aftermarket carb makes the biggest difference with them. I went with the Polini CP and don't even need to choke to start now. I have the AC to DC rewire on my channel for the headlight if you want to check that out. Great little bikes once you sort them out. Have fun and great video bro.

Thanks for the info! I’ll keep that carb in mind I might go home and see if it starts no choke now, I’ll post a video of it, its under 40 degrees here so we will see what happens lol , I have also watch your channel hood videos! 👍

I might do a valve check here soon also!
@SCMOTO2 жыл бұрын
@@billon2wheels Oh yeah I forgot that one. Valve lash is off about 50% of the time. Not by huge margins but these are not precision built engines lol. They run pretty good for a low displacement carb engine after a little TLC.

Just fix it your self, I have a spare car already to go if interested

I had a lot of your problems with my 139qmb scooter engine it’s not perfect never will be but dose the job! If it’s running like yours on the verge of stalling don’t keep trying to idle it, it could be running to lean to much air it probably needs a bigger main jet if that dose not work take the end of your air box tube and leave it off half way that will lean it out a little. But for sure when mine sounded like yours the plugs were black running rich so a smaller Main and the air box of halfway it idles decently smooth. Theses engines do not like idling for very long without wanting to stall for example I let my bike idle for 1 minute then rev it it will dip in idle and almost stall but if you keep revving it will idle even smoothly seems for me you have to constantly clear them out! Definitely get a jet kit if you check the spark plug and it’s black go down 5 sizes on the main jet, and adjust the slide needle, down slot is rich top slot is lean middle being just right. If the plug is white go up 5 jet sizes on the main jet and adjust the needle clip down making it richer. And play around with the adjustments until it runs smoothly 5:19

They need to discontinue the Navi and bring it back with fuel injection but call it a different bike. Too many issues.

What was the reason you started messing with the carb to begin with?

Yes some of these bikes came with the carb running rich, stalling out etc.

@@billon2wheels the don't have warranty? Wouldn't you be able to take it to the dealership and get them to fix it and tune it properly?

@@V4p3rcl0ud I can do it myself properly , I don’t trust stealerships on something so minor
@V4p3rcl0ud Жыл бұрын
@@billon2wheels I don't consider a bad running new bike something minor. It should run properly when you get it to begin with. And there wouldn't be any money involved because it'd still be under warranty. They're the ones that put it together to begin with, if you don't trust them why would you purchase a bike from them? I get working on your own things and fixing your own things sometimes being better than taking something to a dealership and spending a ton to do it. My 2012 civic has never seen a dealership, but if it was a 2022 and wasn't running after only driving it for a short time, I would gladly have them do the free warranty work to it than to spend hours and more money working on it myself. Work smarter not harder my friend.

I bought the bike second hand , I’ve had a lot of bad experience with “new “ bikes at stealerships, it’s a big difference to take it to manufacturer than take thief’s who sell it to you , I will never buy another bike from a stealership they don’t give a crap about the product, where as Honda does

You're in luck then! The smartcarb is effectively a port injector, and costs around $500.
