These are such sick cars. 2 things you should know: 1 is if you unplug the blue plug at the back left of the engine it will stop signal to the BOV and make dose noises. And 2, judging by the colour, your radiator is on the way out and you should probably start getting ready to replace it. Otherwise i hope you love it xoxo

Ayooo congrats from a JZS171 owner in Australia! These are awesome cars and pretty easy to work on as they share all suspension components with the IS2/300 and JZX110. Heaps of people doing manual swaps into these now too with the R154. Just about to put a high-flowed turbo and external wastegate on mine, can't wait

Incredible how easy is to buy first cars in other countries. My first and only car is a 3 year old abandoned Ford Escort 1988 for 2000 bucks, the minimum payment in my country is 1200 bucks, so you had to work 2 entire months to buy one of these.

Hey brugg gratz on the purchase, Crowns are lit and a nice alternative to JZXs. Since it's an old tueboed Japanese sedan, couple of things I'd look out for: JZs in general have a kinda shit harmonic dampener pulley, I'd look into replacing that unless it's already been done, they occasionally come apart and when they do the results can be a bit scary. I ended up replacing the one in my Chaser with a Fluidampr since it's a one-piece no maintenance part and won't come apart like the stock ones do, also dampens crank vibrations/torsion better than the stock part. Also keep an eye out on the turbo. Mine was burning oil because the hotboi that owned it before it was imported turned up the boost, CT15Bs have weak oil seals and they let go. Ended up replacing mine with a Tomei BX bolt-on turbo but you can get rebuilt/fortified CT15Bs too. I believe DriftMotion sells a rebuild kit/prebuilt turbo, Ichiban Engineering has multiple bolt-ons too. Apart from that, should be golden, enjoy it.
