My 2000 Grand Marquis gets around 22-25mpg which I think is great, since I'm currently daily driving it in Sweden, which has one of the highest fuel prices in the world. I love these panthers ❤ You got a good deal on them, and anyone who buys them from you will likewise get a good deal 💪🏼

My 1998 Town Boat Signature, which you have worked on, is such a great car. Jason, youd be proud of me, I replaced my radiator cooling fan yesterday. It took less than an hour. It had stopped running and the old girl overheated on me when we had a hot day here. It was just three 8mm bolts, a couple of knuckle scrapes, and voilà, new fan. Ill need to bring her over before winter to flush and refill the coolant.

@@OldeCarrGuy I actually enjoy doing body work and painting. Back when I took auto shop, cars still had carburetors, so my skill set is a bit rusty.

Never thought about the electrical controls from the back seat but makes perfect sense. But yes, this is a stop gap car!

Great video! I have a 2007 Executive and love it. I wonder how its ride quality compares to a Rolls Royce or Bentley.

I probably never will drive a Rolls or Bentley, so I’ll likely never know, but I would assume it’s much like this!

the old 94 4.6 gets 16mpg on E10 and 9mpg on that E85 stuff... always on the pump station that dictates what goes in it, hit 87 and they just dump in whatever's cheapest... engine swap out of whatever it was and put the mustangs chrome skull on the fuel rail. why they push for LS swaps I don't know... more 4.6 cores.

The back seat controls for the radio, CC, and seat are only on the L body. Some high end model Grand Marquis also have the air suspension, so keep an eye out for it when lifting those too. Far as I know They used the same r470W transmission all the way from 94? (Whatever the first year with the 4.6 was) till end of production in 2011. On the mileage, my 95TC was the best one I had getting an easy 26 MPG on the highway. my 03 GM, both 05 TCs and 06TC get 22-24 on the highway. (they all get like 16 in city driving.) On the AC, there isn't really a lot that can go wrong, as long as it's not leaking, or the compressor didn't grenade it's self at some point in the past. Usually a low pressure switch or low on refrigerant. I've got one that the compressor blew up on and even after having a new one put on she never had AC again because everything else is full of shavings that keep plugging up the orifice tube. Was questioning the Air suspension light being on... Really sad to see the standard springs in the back. Having three 06-05 TC's, one that had the standard springs, it really kills the ride quality. Still rides better than most cars these days, but just isn't nearly as good of a ride... The air springs are also great if you're loaded down with people or cargo, keeping her nice and level. She's still a great car, but gotta have the air suspension on an L body. Waiting for the details on the 04. I don't need an inspection sticker over here, but do need everything working where I can put 20,000 miles in it in the first year.

You’re half right on the transmission thing! Although they were all classified as 4R70W’s they were not 100% interchangeable through all years due to some electrical changes! I just wasn’t sure of the interchangeability years!
