Girls Dig Mustangs If you’re into speed, I suggest you put in 4.10 gears, bigger throttle body with cold air intake, and underdrive pullys. Should cost you less than 1000 with installation and it makes a BIG difference in acceleration. You can get to 300 hp with those mods.

American muscle just did a basic bolt on build with a 2000 automatic. Went from 222 to 249 at the wheels. So 249 x 1.1764705 is about 293 before powertrain waste or loss if manual. Automatic supposedly lose more maybe 20 vs 15% so that put it at 300 about. I made a replica on Forza to see how accurate it is.

That thing on the upper back window is pretty useful if you ever have anybody ride in the back seat. It's kind of like a sun visor type of thing. Yeah, I know, who uses the back seat, right? My kids did when they were smaller. They would have appreciated that thing you've got on your back window.

Thats a roof spoiler, you should be able to take that off. I bet it has a flowmaster exhaust if I had to guess. The shift knob you found in the floor is the original one, its longer than the cobra so thats why you see the threading. The SN95 in that body style is what made me want a mustang as a kid and its for sure my favorite of yours.

Those are newer mustang wheels off a s550. They have a different offset and that why they are running a spacer. @2:35 the old school gts roof spoiler, should be double sided taped on and removed easily. Looks to have a 2000 cobra r front lip.

When replacing the clutch it is a good idea to do the pressure plate and the throwout bearing at that time. that is how i have always did it. Nice car by the way i bought my wife an 04 anniversary edition.

My technic when I want to get a used car is to take it to a mechanic to check it up and find all the problems then from that point, I can drop the car price waaaay down. You must to try it next time. Trust me, it will works 100%

The clutch in your fox is a cable clutch that's why they feel different..the cable stretches and needs adjustment once in a while but love your tangs now you get to learn how to work on them..have fun doin it..I know I love working on my white 92. The rear visor is aftermarket..get rid of the spacers if you can..don't care for them! Leave the exhaust alone thow..sounds awesome. Have fun! 👍👍✌

Beautiful car. I love these mustangs. How is this excited if not more excited when I got my mineral Gray 02 mustang GT about 7 months ago. I will say I do believe that exhaust is stock unless it's a quiet aftermarket muffler. My mustang has a stock mid pipe and the stock cat-backs but it has flowmaster 40 mufflers and it's actually quite a bit louder than this car so judging from the color of the muffler and the tone of the exhaust, it's most likely a quiet flowmaster muffler. Very nice car though. Side note: the wheel spacers are too big but it does look nice when you put like 9 in deep dish wheels at the back so the outer rim and tires stick out on the back closer to alignment with defender because stock it looks like the back wheels are too far in, the fronts are usually fine though. Also a side note those Wheels do look way better than the ugly factory ones so if you just get rid of the wheel spacers it should look gorgeous, also, 2004 is the only 40th anniversary edition, all the other mustangs from 99 to 03 have regular GT badges.

just an FYI, the interior color is actually a dark charcoal (gray). 1998 was the last year for black leather in the SN95 line. the plastic over window is just there for visual appeal. you should be able to pull it off easily with some heat to loosen the double sided tape that is used.

The gas cap is a chrome version of the 2001 Bullitt Mustang gas cap, and the thing on rear window is just a rear window spoiler (I don't like them either)

That's a rear window rain reflector. Ppl put them on so your car can look cool. I have never seen that in the 95 mustang tho. You can take it off thos are double sided tape easy to take off.

The black GTO plastic strip across the back window is called a rear window vent visor. Doesn't really serve any purpose. Either you like them or you don't. Looks decent on there, but I wouldn't blame you if you removed it. It can make it a little tricky cleaning the top of the rear window with that installed.

My Foxbody seat belts don't really work either. Maybe Ford was trying to get us to install a 4 point harness in them since FoxBodys are meant for drag racing 😁

You can adjust the clutch cable to make it quit sqeeking with that firewall adjuster, I also have 3 mustang's

Loosen the set screw (usually a Allen key) Tighten it just a little and make sure to retighten the set screw otherwise it will losen back up as you drive from vibrations. I haven't seen a good KZbin video to cover this topic really, had to trial and error. Remember as you tighten it the clutch pedal will grab higher and as you loosen it it will grab closer to the floor

The squeak is prob the belt tensioner bearing...but the squeak comes from the front when the car is running..they sell them cheap at mc money parts..I'm always changing them.i think they are 20or 30 bucks...but I also pay Canadian money..probably cheaper since your in states

Belt tensioner.you have to adjust to take the belt of or on your car..it prob squeeks on your foxbody...if you have to change your througt bushing...your not going to be a happy person to see what it is...and you might as well put in a fresh clutch while you have the transmission out so you fell like you did something.cause you not going to be happy when you see what the throught bushing is..

@@GirlsDigMustangs Pretty much, I drove is for a year with the timing chains rattling before the engine seized. I have a long list I'd probably just DM You the entire parts list on IG or something that being said I would mod it in stages and all at once. I wouldn't skip around being different parts. But first sequence of mods would be, Lowering Springs, bump steer kit, Camber Plates and full length weld in Subframe connectors. If you want to kill 2 birds with one stone but The Eibach kit with struts and shocks and sway bars. Next I'd get some 3.73 gears and a tuner... In a few weeks or so I'll have some performance parts you can use like throttle body and your plenum. That should be enough to make it handle better and give it a lil more pep. Sorry for the long reply 🙈

The shifter knob that is on there know is off a newer Mustang. That is why there is so many threads showing. I would put the stock shifter knob back on that you found on the floor.

Girls Dig Mustangs yeah unfortunately it’s very common for the throw out bearing to go out on these. I have an 02 mineral grey gt that I love dearly and the throw out bearing is going out. Not too bad of a job.
