I used to work at target in the electronics department and any computer that was returned could not be resold it had to be liquidated due to the fact that it could contain personal data (network connection information and other personal data)

Basically anything that is returned from target that had open packaging gets defected. They don’t resell anything that’s been opened.

Agreeing with everyone about the Lenovo Ideapad vs the Chromebooks. Like others have said, Chrome OS is very limiting, if Becky is looking to use MS Office apps for running the business, you'd definitely want a full fledged Windows laptop like the Ideapad.

The Lenovo looks like a real computer - you should have read out the specs, at least the model. It will run Windows. The Chromebooks are minimal computers for lightweight use. They run ChromeOS , not Windows.

I was able to activate the warranty on my chromebook without a receipt as it was a gift. Can't remember how but I did it except I put in a serial number

As a lot of people have already said, you don't want to keep the Chromebook as it's basically an internet surfing machine. It won't run the software suite you use to run your business. Keep a Windows machine. On the surface it looks like a great buy, when in fact it's still a good score, just not as great as you think

The Windows laptops are keepers. Chromebooks are pretty locked down, and have a limited useful lifespan by design. But my wife and I don't really care for touch-screens, and most of our adult friends agree.

The Lenovo is a Windows computer and the best of the lot. The rest are Chromebooks. You will tire of the smears and fingerprints on a touchscreen quickly.

Bit of a general word of advice on Chromebooks. As a general rule, a Chromebook that will not power on could mean the Chromebook is brand new! Chrome OS actually generally requires you to have a power adapter connected to the Chromebook on first boot up. Although this is not necessarily an absolute sign of a brand new device, that is generally a sign of a new Chromebook. I have used many Chromebooks over the years. That's how I know this.

Points in favor of Chromebooks are the Power Wash function where they can be wiped to new software state no matter what's been done to them or forgotten user and password. No tie-in to an online ID like Apple. They don't run Windows so no issues from malware, viruses etc that Windows can get. Downsides are very limited local storage, very different user interface users have to learn. Most of them have the annoying feature of turning on when opened and AFAIK that can't be disabled.

I always either choose a computer without touch screen or disable the touch screen as I don't like touch screens on laptops...I use my tablet and phone with touch screen and that is plenty for me loll and I stay away from chromebooks because I find its limited on programs or other things it can do compared to Windows and I also always try to get a Lenovo, I LOVE their laptops! I am on my third Lenovo since I started to get laptops and only because I drowned one lolllll the first one I used it so much it got tired of me the second I drowned in a fabulous vanilla coffee, poor thing could not swim and my third one is going real strong! :)

You took most of them out of the box and fumbled around with them so I think it was right in front of you. Target always opens and checks electronic returns even if the box has never been opened at least when I've shopped in the US. If it's been messed with they don't take it back. You should always get good product. Keep the Lenovo laptop in my opinion. I have a Samsung chrome book and I dislike it because of the OS. I just drag it around for travel because I don't care about it. If it says chromebook please don't keep it for work. I was able to activate my chrome book warranty online even though it was a gift.

Jamie and Sarah starting copying all of their Amazon pallet content directly from my channel 3 years ago. They have copied all of my video tags for the past 3 years since they started doing Amazon pallets and they even copy most of my KZbin video titles I have used. I have no problem with this since they put their own spin on the Amazon pallet genre and they do a good job on the videos they upload. So if you enjoy them so much, you can thank me for them having content since I am their inspiration.
