I RMA'd 4 of those Dual stereos before I demanded my money back. Every time they would work for a few days then burn themselves out. Also went with a Boss stereo.

The head unit u got was faulty which can and has happened to the top end head units. All u have to do is take it back to walmart and they will give ur money back and go get a new one. The head unit u had has apple play and android which u can use by voice and i haven't seen any other cheap head unit have that. Boss is a cheaper head unit than Dual just fyi, I have been around car audio for well over 30 yrs and I have worked on cars and trucks and I have dealt with the several thousand systems to the lowest budget systems and I have learned the ins and outs of car products....car audio and car/truck parts.

U have the problem u just haven't checked it. The amp chip they using is a pretty normal tda7388 4ch class ab used in all sorts of headunits. But the heatsink they using does not have enough thermal mass to keep the temperature under control of a 20w x4 rms class ab chip that dumps around 30w of heat at full volume before clipping.

I know this is way old but I installed the exact same speakers with the exact same stereo and had non of these issues, I had a crackle noise like you but when I installed my sub it went away and everything sounded great

the crackle is no doubt underpower at higher volume. even if they put wattage its usually not rms and with cheaper stereos your more than likely to get half rated power

If you keep pressing the know button towards the end of the list there should be a sound on or off option. So that's how how you turn the internal amp on on that dual head unit

Sorry you had issues with your Dual. I ordered a 10” dual touchscreen radio in my 2nd gen dodge and I honestly love it. I recently bought a 3rd gen Cummins and it came with a jvc small touchscreen deal. Absolutely hate it. I’m wanting to put another dual in it just like I have in the other truck. The back speakers are blown out and unhooked in this new truck. Thinking about going to Walmart today and picking up some of those scosche’s. They seem fairly decent. Yours still holding up good? They even sound good on the recording

I installed that head unit for a customer never had issues, the radio not powering off is an indication that something is faulty in the wiring or ignition

I've had similar stuff i will agree the speakers do actually sound really good but they are super inefficient meaning they dont get very loud or atleast without a lot of power to them they need an amp on them I had the 6x9s they sounded better than a pair of Sony in bass and treble snd mids everything was better but the volume the Sony gor way louder on less volume but the dual stereo i could not recommend i like pioneer and thats not an option for everyone obviously it wasn't one for me a couple years ago now that I have some money it is and its well worth it with both Subwoofer control crossover control an app an eq in the app for custom controls they are really good and well worth there money not on Amazon tho I had the deh-s31bt and it was perfect I love those schoshe speakers they sound great at there price but you have to have the power to power them and have more than 2 to get loud enough to be happy if u put them on a 4 channel 80w per channel amp and set the crossover at like 80 and crank them they will sound great

Did you turn the sound on. You have scroll through the sound pinions using the volume know. Turn on the internal amp

@@johnson7454 nah not anymore, I've got a Sundown 4 way myself, SFB Series. Super cheap line. running it with these exact Speakers myself actually, solid sound stage for such cheap Speakers, excited for the "break in" window to pass, certainly a solid option for a quick setup or even just replacing your factory speakers and not breaking the bank. I'm shocked how pleasant they are for the price.

I think regardless of factory wiring, if you have a constant 12v, switched 12v and ground + the speakers are hooked up - it should work
