Toner containers are expensive unlike ink jet containers aren’t. Reason being especially copy machines. That’s due to the inner workings of the cartridge. Some companies do buy backs for the toner containers. Never buy off name ink jet cassettes reason being is the printer head is actually on the cartridge. They clean it to look like new then inject the liquid. Most don’t Pringle’s correctly due to the electronic print heads are actually clogged.

At Staples you have to follow the following steps now. They now make you buy at least $30.00 in ink or toner, than you can take to store or return 10 toners or ink cartridges per month. You are sent $2.00 per cartridge or toner is rewards that you can use in the store. You could each return 10 using different reward accounts. It is not as good as it used to be, but you are recycling and saving land fill space. You can also sell empty toners to online buyers. I do that through Ebay.

We order toner for work from Amazon and they give you a label to return to them to recycle. That could be what a lot of the used toner is.

I work at OfficeMax/Depot and you can bring in old toner/ink cartridges for store credit or “rewards money” of $2 each, can do up to 10 in a month. Only catch is you have to spend $10 in that month.

Yes Staples will take used ink cartridges and toner 2 dollar credit they take a minimum of ten cartridges a month, that’s where I go because I buy third party sellers Remanufactured, no one will take them but Staples

Re the books missing covers. If there's a parrot rescue in your area they MIGHT take them. Parrots LOVE shredding books (all my family and friends know to save phone books for me for this purpose). As long as there isn't color ink it should be ok and is worth inquiring about rather than just toss them.
