You can get store credit on certain auto parts that have core charges like brake master cylinders alternators starters. Most have about a 15 to 25 dollar core charge. I would check on that if you get any more auto parts.

I resell OEM toner/Inks because I'm in the printer repair business so get some back unopened but if customers give me unused generic toners like that I just recycle them. I will only resale the OEM stuff since generics can have issues or not work as well so I don't want the bother with getting returns or bad feedback. Those probably got returned because they had failures on another and decided it wasn't worth it.

The American Flag Vic is always sold out and is a higher price point when I was looking for them on Amazon. About the toner / ink exchange at Staples: you have to have a store card, and they exchange empties they sold you for store credit, not one out of the “wild.” I was excited too and got let down. (By the way, the “store card” is free and is of the variety that some stores use to track purchases and give sale prices) Great job! I’m loving these videos! I would be wearing gloves unboxing any box of returned goods. Part of my job used to be processing returned and traded in cell phones for a large authorized cellular retailer and man were they nasty! Always wore gloves when testing/inspecting the phones.

I agree about retailers checking returns. I was never more embarrassed as when I got my mother a grind and brew coffee pot for a gift. As soon as it was opened it was used. Full of coffee grounds in and around the pot. Many people lack the simple gift of morals. So sad.

If they had at the start, they might have been able to create a presence and keep up their sales. Also they shot themselves in the foot the year they tried to force people to get a discover card and refused to take any other credit card. I remember trying to buy my mother inlaw a robe and the lady said they only too discover.

I have the ULTIMATE return scam. Found a pair of AVN night vision goggles in a gaylord we were going through. In the box. When I looked them up, they were not just any night vision goggles. They were 11, 585.00 night vision goggles from AVN with the head harness. We were whooping it up for 3 frigging days!!!!!!. Box, hang tags were original from AVN and Looked at all the photos I could find online to be double, triple sure we had actual unit. Went to finally fire them up which required only a Double AA battery, We did not have the manual and so we waited to find out if we could use a regular battery. Anywho, took the cap off to insert the battery.......Wait, where are the contacts for the -\+ connection? I than removed a screw thinking the one I opened was to hold a spare battery and the section next to it was the real compartment. out came the screw, but, nothing came apart. Wait...Are these things real? They were not. They were mock ups, movie props, war gaming kind of stuff. The box was indeed real, someone had swapped the real AVN product with a very convincing dummy pair of goggles, returned the product to Amazon and possibly got a 12K refund?......Who knows? These would have sold in moments for 11K had they been real. I was not really upset. I found a GARMIN GPSMAP 66i worth 550.00 and a photo light meter worth 1,600.00 so it was still a good day.

Our Staples will give you a $10 gift card after you return 10 cartridges to be recycled. I'm not sure of that's true in all stores. There is a rewards program if buy cartridges from Staples and the recycle them with them. Our Staples used to give a ream of paper for recycled cartridges.
