Yes thats right! I bought a Gold Tone OB-150RF 5 String Bluegrass Banjo on Amazon, and got it delivered in about 5 days! I've been spying this banjo out for awhile and saw all the great reviews and wanted to see for myself if this would be a good choice for students that need a mid price ($1000-1200) banjo good enough for gigging and hard core festival jams. My vid goes from delivery to setup to review. Overall this is really a good buy in this price range, see for yourself.

I had that same banjo starting out. I ended up swapping out the tailpiece for a Presto and it really opened up the sound for me. I ended up going with the ob-3 later.

I just bought the ob 3 twanger with the radius fretboard. Great playing and sounding instrument.

I recently bought my grandson one of those gold tone banjos (I can't remember the numbers now but I tell them in the video when setting it up) and was really impressed with it, I bought it second handed it was like brand new but someone had the set up all out of whack. yours sounds good!

I bought my grandson a gold tone also! A great value for someone starting out. My first good banjo was an Ibanez artist, late seventies.

I use a Golden Gate thumb pick and Dunlop .0225-.025 gauge fingerpicks.

I love the radius. My main banjo is a Nechville so I have gotten really used to the RF.
