Obviously you'll save a ton of money, it's up to you to decide if that's worth all of the time and effort to wind up with a car with a branded title and no warranty.

@@Hawk7886this methods is only good for KZbinrs. Getting contents and views. Us regular folks. Even if at the end of it. You’ll probably only save $5-10k. With a branded title is not worth it. Assuming you have a shop(lifts), know what you’re doing , a lot of time and tools.

The "fast" ones I've seen have had over-heating issues and can't make it through a 20-minute hpde session. But true, likley never be a problem for the average owner (of any of the hot hatches) since they'll never be driven in anger on track

Honda technician here: you have to remove the headliner to replace the side curtain for the airbag. Most of your lights in the dash are all related to one or two problems, when a lght is trigerred, all the rest are following…

Instead of commenting about the previous owners lack of maintenance, they blamed PA winters and road salt. PA cars overall are not bad. I live in Lancaster PA BTW. I have bought cars from all over PA, one from NJ, and two from NY. The NY car was the worst. One of my friends has bought at least 3 cars from MD. All 3 were garbage.

Definitely excited for this one! Sure we often see people rebuilding totaled exotics, but these are the types of cars that I search for on Copart weekly and dream of rebuilding. Really interested to see the process and what the total cost comes out to.

While most the fronts and side of cars can be removed easy and exchanged, the rear quarter is where it usually gets expensive. No normal car I know of has unboltable rear quarters/ rear wheel arches...

Good to see that airbag sensors are still super exposed and vulnerable to damage during a crash. I had the smashed one sitting in my center console forever to remind me of how it didn't fire after my body shop pulled it out of my 8th gen civic after I had a head on collision.

They're not exposed at all, the system self-tests on every ignition cycle and if a sensor can't be detected it immediately throws a fault. Airbags aren't guaranteed to deploy in a crash, it depends on a ton of variables. Ben was wrong when he said you just need one sensor - the system needs multiple inputs before it decides to fire an inflator.

All of those warning lights are caused by the millimeter wave radar being damaged. Even slighlty out of alignment they will set all of the driver assist system warning lights on. Once that radar is replaced and aimed they will go away.

What i can see as new parts - All bar components - New OFFSIDE LIGHTS(TAILLIGHT AND FRONT LIGHT - New offside doors - New airbags and sensors - Multiple sensors (ultrasonic and lane keep assists) - New OFFSIDE REAR QTR overall wouldnt have been written off in my shop lmao glass is always the most expensive to replace for no god damn reason, your c pillars should be fine same as the b pillar

Honestly the body damage isn’t gonna be bad to replace or fix except for the rear fender. I’m pretty sure you can use regular civic hatch doors (not including rear door because of the wide-body), headlights and taillights as replacements.
