I can't believe you bought this! This is the exact one I bought years ago and it stuck with me. Wasn't the best model and was pretty low quality, but it surprised me a lot of times in just what I found. Sadly, it isn't waterproof but honestly absolute respect 😌 Here's some stuff I know about this; It overheats pretty easy, especially in Florida, that may be why the "dial up internet" sound was happening. Could also be due to the coil getting wet. It also isn't sturdy, but it's pretty flexy. It's helped me find a lot of deep stuff, and honestly was more balanced than my current one im running. After about 4-6 years, it tends to start not registering as much (but it's cheap so that's to be expected).

Like a lot of other commenters, this was my first metal detector. I've since upgraded. The Tracker IV is not a deep machine at all but it does still find things. I used a 40% off coupon at Hobby Lobby to pick this machine up for $49 plus tax many years ago. I still have it and use it for sorting zinc pennies from copper ones.

I have an old Bounty Hunter I purchased at a pawn shop for $60.00 in 2015. I have found a lot. Gold, silver, relics and, of course garbage. It goes to 6 inches comfortably and hits 8 inches on good days. My KZbin channel was T-N-T Digger. After watching your channel and several others I am getting the itch to hit the dirt again. Thank you for the videos.

Fun little machine. No need to bury coins, just lift the coil. As new as machines get, I still love the two screen method with my etrac.

Good detector. I’ve had a few BH. . Like any detector give it some time. Great park hunting detector The Bounty Hunter landstar Was crap though

I had one. It's pretty rudimentary and crude. The meter was only useful to confirm it actually beeped. Yeah you can find things, but you better dig every beep. Better than nothing, but not by much.

This is the same detector I have, it’s nothing fancy, but I’ve never had any issues, except for wet holes in sand… avoid those, it just gives a ton of false signals Love the vids ❤

I know I hear what you're saying on that I love this detector it works good overall land except for on the beach where the water has just freshly hit it. That's probably the only reason I would like to swap this one out and purchase something that works along wet sand. Let me know if you recommend anything

That was my first detector. I bought it in may of 2023, it worked good enough for a month and convinced me to get a better one.

Seems like a good starter, probably better than those questionable cheap ones with target ID. Recovery speed seems pretty good! 🤠

My minelab vanquish 340 won't even find a gold ring at 6+ inch I think
@TreasureOutdoors2 ай бұрын
Have you tested it out? My Vanquish 440 does pretty good on the gold. Maybe depends on the size of the ring, bet your 340 would hit a thick one. 💍
@AnonymAnonym-fv3uc2 ай бұрын
I don't use it anymore since I switched to a nokta dubble score. But I only have small gold rings and the minelab did about 4-5 inch meanwhile the Nokta 8 inch but it has a much larger coil

Good tests. Yeah, under normal circumstances I think we investigate cherps in certain situations. In my detecting experience, sometimes I’ve investigated one sided signals to see if something is at a fringe depth.

I have a bounty hunter. It was my first detector. I used to buy rechargeable batteries for it when they came out. Not as sensitive on small trash so often you dig more good targets than trash.
@TreasureOutdoors2 ай бұрын
I've thought about that before... sensitivity can be beneficial but do we really want to hear every tiny piece of foil... Those cheap machines are probably great for rings. 💍👍

That metal detector it is a ring hog it loves rings I bought one lost myself from Amazon besides finding coins iPhone rings Silver Eagle in 3 weeks of paid for itself yeah that was a while though still got it never regretted it anything you want to know about this funny of KZbin videos I'm assuming that's the track before it's also good on beaches as long as you don't go near the water with that has the saltwater beeps constantly weather in the Seattle work you see a lot of Old Timers with that one because it's very durable and it will last you a long time as long as you take care of it
@michaelhinkle66482 ай бұрын
It might not hit that quarter real well at 8" but look how quiet it is. Once you got used to it you would definitely dig that beep.
