The 1.8 TFSI came with two output levels: 120HP or 160HP. The difference in these is in the ECU software. Mine was the 120 HP and it had just been equipped with new pistons, conrods and cam chain kit on goodwill by Audi dealer. Reason for engine rebuild was high oil consumption (mileage was 75.000). There was a bill of £5.500 in glovebox which had been split 80/20 between Audi and previous owner. I had the engine re-mapped to 160HP ("at least", said the guy behind the laptop) and that made the car 'rather nippy'.

Hi Matt. Just some heads up. Best tires should always be on the rear of the car because having understeer is safer than oversteer. Also these engines until about 2013 are one of the worst Audi ever made. Many people reporting these burning even 1l every 1000kms. Not all of them but many of them after a certain amount of mileage. They need the piston rings upgraded to the next version which is not a cheap thing to do. Avoid petrol audi 1.8/2.0 tfsi 2008-2013.

Another fascinating video. Can't help wondering how anyone makes money in this trade. The work needed doing to achieve the desired selling price and have a great team of trusted and not expensive repairers to call on. So does it mean the car was too expensive initially - which it didn't seem to be for a not very old 'premium' model that cost £25k new, or are cars too cheap at retail if technicians and auto repair specialists want to earn a living wage fixing them properly ? Then there's potential warranty costs to cover......😳
