One thing to check with a loud knocking noise is the auxiliary belt tensioner. If it's bouncing around in unison with the knocking then it's normally either a vibration damper or an alternator over running pulley. It's easy to miss and assume it's an engine problem because the noise can be horrible and it's a relatively cheap fix.

I had an early Musso. The fact that it had rack and pinion steering was what sold it to me. Drove well, was reliable, and could pull the side out of a house. Rescues a few stranded Range rovers with it.

The gag at 10:29 had me rolling. In fairness, I've never been in one of these and the interior looks (although I'm sure doesn't feel) rather pleasant. I wonder if they will be more popular here in London as the post 2016 diesel models will be a cheap ULEZ diesel mile muncher.

Doesn’t Ssangyong translated mean ‘bag of nails’ ? 😂 Great video though 👍

A bag of something that’s for sure 😂

"Double Dragon", apparently - which is probably one of the coolest-sounding company names. Shame their recent rebranding moves them to "KG Mobility" which is instantly forgettable 😂

I've had my Ssangyong Tivoli since 2016, bought nearly new, great value for money never had a problem with it, but I have had it serviced regularly

I think when it comes to Ssangyong there’s a lot of badge/name snobbery. I’ve seen a few reviews on them and generally they’re not bad looking cars, there’s definitely worse looking cars on the market.

Ssangyong were going bust for years but were recently saved. No one wanted to buy them owing to the insolvency issue. Thus the cheap prices. Not sure about their build quality but that’s why they aren’t wanted in recent years

I have heard of them. We have a dealer in Reading. They seem quite nice cars and good value for money. I believe they are the same company as Sym Motorbikes and my experience with a Sym scooter was excellent!
