There were definitely some aspects about this ukulele that surprised me in a good way, and I think it would be a great option for young children (5 and under) so that you can replace it easier! I agree that some "beginner ukuleles" can have a low quality sound to them, that's why it's always good to take time researching and even going to a music store to try the ukuleles out before buying! This particular ukulele has a really nice color, and a decent sound. It doesn't sound like a toy ukulele (as I was expecting) but I wouldn't consider it to have a high quality sound either. It's great for 5 year olds (and under) so that it can be replaced for $20 if needed!

Yaah! But in Romania.. almost no one knows what a ukulele is.. And you can't find a good one in a music store that's why I purchased my ukulele from USA (Lohanu😍spalted maple,go check! ) My uncle lives in USA and is coming in Romania this summer (with my new ukulele) It is my second ukulele. I 've wanted an electric-acoustic one for church I'm so excited. It is more professional than my uke rn

I’m almost thirteen and I’m a beginner for playing the ukulele so I wanted a cheaper one. Mine was under thirty dollars and it is great quality for the price. It’s is a Diamond Head soprano ukulele and I recommend it for beginners or someone who just wants a cheap ukulele. :)

Emma Durst I was 14 when I got my beginner uke, it’s a strong wind mahogany concert uke, for around $40 it came in a set with picks, a tuner, a strap, extra Aquila strings. It has a very nice sound and quality for a beginner ukulele player. I will be upgrading to probably the Luna tattoo concert uke for Christmas this year.

I'm 11 years old but I like to play the ukulele too, My mom and dad bought me a Ukulele for my birthday (It was in May 5 :D) and I love it! It was around 32 dollars but it was good quality! Although I'm a beginner, I still play decently but I don't know how to play other chords except for the basic ones. ♥️♥️ Edit: I'm in a different country but my mom and dad got me a soprano Boracay uke. ♥️♥️

Aurora is actually a really good brand! I have a soprano ukelele in the mermaid-turtle design, and it works so well! I perform with it all the time. I got an Aurora kit from Amazon, which came with a case, the uke itself, 12 picks, an electric tuner (which ended up not picking up the chords was well, I prefer using an app to help me tune), extra strings, and a DVD to show me how to string it. The entire kit was about 80 USD, but I have it for a little over two years now and I have yet to have to restring it, or have peeling from the design! I really recommend the Aurora brand ukes, I just love them and their designs!

My first ukulele was £25 and i bought it from a guitar shop and it sounded good after a few weeks of tuning and I got it just to learn on and see if I could get into playing it then I bought a new ukulele that was £170 and sound is just incredible

@@xxbrownie934 i’m not sure. it was the standard sort of price for a soprano ukulele at the time. i just had a look on amazon there and seen similar ones for the same price. the quality does reflect what i paid for it when i compare it to my new one. it lasted and i ended up selling it onto a neighbour for £20

I'd love to see a follow up video to this in a couple of weeks after the strings have settled. It's a pretty gorgeous uke though, even just to hang on the wall as an ornament one might consider it worth the money, the "peace love and music" design is awesome too. But it sounded a bit harsh, but like it has potential to be a decent play.

Thanks for this review! I watched it just out of curiosity and it turns out it's the very uke my 4 1/2 yo has been asking for since he saw it on Amazon (dragon design). He loves to strum my ukes and wants his own. It looks like this is surprisingly nice for the low price, and with Aquila strings which adds to the value over cheap ukes with junk strings. I might just order this for his 5th birthday coming up! It's so cute, I want the fairy design for myself! :)

And I think it'd be a great idea to purchase the dragon one for your son - I saw the dragon one as well and absolutely loved it :) It's really a great lil' uke for the price - the main con so far has been that the strings are taking much longer to settle than any other ukulele I've owned, so you may need to tune it up for him quite a bit. But like you mentioned, at least they're Aquila strings!

I have a 20€ Sheffield uke from Lidl. It's has a nice sound in my opinion and it's not poorly made, but not the best either. The tuning mechanism is worse. I have to tune it every time I want to play which is very annoying, but I roll with it :D I have to save for a better one

Love your sense of humor, and I would value your considered opinion about any instrument. So you really think the sound an instrument makes is one of its most important features? haha! Seriously though you might think about doing a follow-up review after the strings settle in a bit. Just a thought. Also I’m generally listening through my cell phone’s tinny external speakers so not usually getting real good sound reproduction. If others do the same it might help for you to try to describe the sound quality in more detail. Anyway, thanks!

I bought my first purple ukulele on aliexpress.com and it was 16 euros. The quality was super good! It was made of wood. Then next blue ukulele was 10 euros and it was plastic. But it isn't a toy. It came with real strings and it was a normal ukulele. They are super cheap and the quality is super good for that price!

I bought mine on amazon for about $35 and it’s really nice. When I first got it, the strings would go out of tune, but I changed the strings (it came with extra strings in the set) and it’s still a little pitchy but barely ever goes out of tune. I just need to get some good quality strings.

I’m scared to get a cheap one but if I try to get an expensive one I would have to wait a long time so I kinda want a cheap one
