I bought a COIL MACHINE to please the TATTOO GODS

I was 16 when I got my first couple machines and they were all coils. I destroyed everyone’s skin in my town because I had no clue what I was doing lol then rotary’s came out, thank god 😂 You got to start making your own machines!

Thank the rotary gods lol, id love to make my own rotary but man that sounds costly. My own coil sounds do-able. The big homie Ivan is making me one ands gonna send it my way. So looking forward to that for sure. I finnaly got a compressor for my airbrush and im waiting for a clearcoat and i was gonna try doing some custom paint on some of the cheapo pens i got.

Coil machines is what i started on. I like rotary machines. But i like coil machines more. On all my coil liner machines i use 6wrap coils on them & on my coil shader machines i use 8wrap coils. Coil machines are great machines.

I always hear: "nothing lines like a coil" and im also hoping it will give me a better feel for laying down lines. Almost like ive lost the feel of it using these high stroke direct drives. Its hard to put into words what im after but hopefully you guys understand.... So the more wraps the snappier the hit right?? Stronger magnetic pull so i imagine that makes the machine faster/snappier??

Welcome to the coil family that's all I run best bar needles I've found so far are element low profile they lay a nice fat line

Coil from a reputable builder like Mike Pike or Vlad Blad comes tuned. Also coil hits softer then rotary. Just sounds loud and puts ink more efficiently. So people think it’s harder. Try stopping armature bar and then rotary push bar on a direct drive. Coils are easier to stop with your finger. Because Coils have more give.

I had high hopes for this coil...the guy i bought it from essentially "upgrades" cheap chinese coils. I bought some small mags n tubes so im gonna see how it shades when i get bord one day. Thank you for the info tho brother i appreciate it. I was thinking of a coil from Andy Seb or Gary Border. I like to support the smaller companies

Im working on ur coil machine i made the frame etc no chinese notjing ...youll see with a coil youll be able to move your hands faster but coil liners come in three variations fine liner 140bto 160 htz Everyday liner which is 5 to 9rl at 135 to 140 and a large grouping liner 9 to 18rs which runs at 125 to 135 htz ....the coil cores on the coils the only thing i bought from warhawk i dont own a cnc to make them my own

I may have to invest in one of those power supplies that reads hertz and duty% Element has em for pretty cheap or at least they used to. I already love the feel of it and ive only done a few lines wit it. Only thing he has in the description is the type of capcitor he used (47uf-50v) Thanks again brother your the man. Need it for big lines 9RLs -18RS so i can rip some trad daddy lines

100% Chinese ron. But thats ok. Make sure coils aren't using copper clad aluminum wire. Ive got many videos on that. Theres ways to check. Also the weight will be off. Machine will run funny.

Yeah this ones goin in the bottom drawer, looks.pretty but i cant see it doing any sort of consistent work tbh.

@cappn_skwatcha ebay sells nice cast iron frame machines. Im not a fan of aluminum. Brass is nice. But out of 20 some machines you might find 1 or 2 you like. So dont dimiss the coil from one machine.

@AZTattoo he supposedly upgraded this machine with his own hardware. I believe him but at the same time ur the second person to tell me this is 100% chinese lol. So who knows really. Yeah like i said the big homie Ivans buliding me one and that will probly be it for me as far as coils. I am planning on building a few rca cords for a giveaway brother. Im gonna try n get them built before xmas so stay locked brotha

Get a 12 wrap for a liner idk tho it’s all how you set up the machines and yes it’s a dime or nickel
