Maybe the gambling is the reason she lost the storage unit. Susceptibility to Addiction is genetic. Maybe her addiction passed to the son but manifested in a different way. I hope that all involved get help and can live free.

The reverse is true. The first candle holder you picked up might be considered a candelabra having more than one spot to hold a candle. The second one would be considered a candle holder or a candlestick. I love the randomness of the items in this locker. It makes for a more interesting story overall. It tells a lot about the owner and his habits.

I used large metal washers like those to hold patterns in place, instead of pinning, when cutting fabric. I think the panda was a child's nebulizer (treatment for asthma). Wow. It's really sad that people live this way, whether they have a choice or not.

When you are trying to restorage the love and you give back some thing that are of some importance to a person and then she asks for a few more things, and she says that they were going to gamble. It’s not that you are judging, but that their priorities are not the best. The washers that you found in the Crown Royal bag goes to a game called “Washers”. There is a board for each team that lays on the ground that you throw the washers at and try to get them in one of three holes for different points. Kind of like corn hole game.

I appreciate your attitude about vices like drugs and gambling. I'm a conservative educated believer myself who grew up with parents who drank a couple beers on the weekend. Unfortunately, I found the escape of alcohol enjoyable at an early age. Also the excitement of gambling fed a character defect. I survived until 2003 with that defect having control in my life. Thankfully, my Lord Jesus, a very supportive family and a new daily walk saved my life. I wanted to point out that in the research done on compulsive gambling. The P.E.T. scan of gamblers brains look slot like cocaine users. The chemicals created that damage brain cells are manifested by the human body in compulsive gamblers. It is as much an addiction needing medical help as drug abuse.
