I BOUGHT A FIRE EEL !

Last week when I went to fish planet I saw a fire eel and I just couldn't stop thinking about it, so today I decided to go buy it! Also my delivery for the fluval roma 240 has been delayed by a week, so I decided to go to wholesale tropicals and pick up my hardscape so I can start the process of soaking them. Hopefully my tank will arrive next week !

I worked at a pet store in San Diego in the fish room and one of the customers had a fire eel by itself in a bare 240 and it could look you in the eyes and still have like four feet on the bottom of the tank. Probably the biggest fish I've ever seen in somebody's home tank.

Scoobz that eel's a gorgeous colour & Lily may take up the cave 😏 Don't you treat your plants first as all live plant's carry hitchhiker's & those cultured plant's instead of floating them, I would get a small tub & wash off the gel under cold water & place them in the tub with some of your tank water & use an airstone & it will keep them healthy more while waiting for your tank plus they'll grow more 👍

@@ScoobzNPetz Scoobz just buy some Alum powder for anymore live plant's, I purchased mine off line & was told later it's in stores by cooking ingredients flour etc 😂 I can't wait for the video on the 240 plus bigger for you fish. Today I had a mad one removed all my fish except for bottom feeder's & was took to a local store & I just want a few large centre pieces instead.

how long does it take you to soak your drift wood? also cant wait for 1k

The soaking can take weeks sometimes depending on the size of the wood. I’m just soaking them to get rid of most of the tannins before adding them to the new tank 😁 and thank you!!
