Even though they are built for off road... I won’t take mine too... off road... not ever doing Baja runs..I’m just driving mine on regular roads, my daily driver, I didn’t buy it to beat it and I didn’t buy it to keep in the garage safe from the elements, I bought it to drive to my daily destinations

Really happy for you I just got 1 the day after labor day, you can get a damper shock for the tailgate 35.00 its really nice and takes about 1/2 hour to install. I don't like the nose down thing so I put Eibach leveling springs on mine they have almost the same rating as the stock springs, I also did projector amber C clamp headlights made by Raptor retro fit they are awesome. Again I'm very happy for you enjoy your journey with your new toy

Congrats on the badass truck! I love Gen. 1 raptors; I know you mentioned you don’t have the slow release tailgate, although there’s a solution to that problem online. They sell slow release struts for the bed for this reason. Hope you enjoy it for years to come, can’t wait to see what you have in store for this build.

I've wanted one of these since 2010 and I finally saw my dream made into reality. Mine is a black on black supercab with the suicide doors and I love it.

@@ShiftedPerspectivehonestly it has been great. I purchased it from the original owner and he took very good care of it . If it wasn't for the miles I would have tought someone just bought it and stuck it in the garage, apart from regular maintenance just one issue. At first I taught it was going to be a costly repair. One time while on the hwy I began to hear a grinding unfamiliar noise under the truck I tought maybe something was caught underneath the skitplate so I pulled over did not notice anything wrong . I continue to drive home and the noise began again so I pulled over again did some research and drove it back home . I immediately order the parts from my local ford dealer based on a you tube video I found on a raptor and by the way it was a ruby red. I spent about $90 . It was a problem with the vacuum 4wd system it was loosing suction. It was very easy to replace the 2 parts and I'm no mechanic by any means . I've owned it now for 2 yrs and it's the 1st ford that I've owned . When it first came out I fell in loved with these 1st gens Raptor , everything about them was just perfect. And it really looks great in the garage next to my 87 grand national 😆. Great video Salute from Palm Springs Ca 🌴

Same thing with me last year. Bought a 14 ruby red SE with 82k miles. Had to fly out to Scottsdale Arizona to buy it. Took me a year n a half to find it but worth the wait. Amazing condition. It's hard to find one that hasn't been beat to heck.

@@ShiftedPerspective Small stuff like tinting the front windows to match the back ones, add a K & N air filter, and I want to add bed lighting. My previous truck had it and it comes in handy. Besides that not much.... it already has a Borla catback exhaust and extra lighting has been installed in the front bumper. Later on I might change the wheels......

Yup! I’m going to start small and work my way up. Definitely need to get the slow release tailgate and shorty antenna first

Brandon - those were the first two things I did on my truck as well. Both were a good idea. The other minor things I did shortly after: LED reverse lights, license plate lights and overhead bed lights and then Weather tech mats.
