The box camera is a browning. It took a 620, I think. It does open, but you have to do it properly, or you will break it. You have to load it in a dark room, or you wreck the pictures. Used to own one. TT04.

One has to check the serial numbers to see if they're reported stolen - but if not stolen, then the property is theirs. However this not the case for all states in the US. But it is for mine :)
