Just a little side fact if anybody else wondered what the inscription in the mein kampf book at 8:43 was about: It says in German „Zur Beeinerung an deine Schwester Lotte“ which translates to something like „In memory of your sister Lotte“. This old font is called „Kurrentschrift“ and is really hard to decipher, even for me as a German. So correct me for any mistakes in the translation if you now better!

My grandmother did that with my grandfather's stuff from being a NY police officer and detective. My aunt was so pissed and told them they needed to give it all back. They made her go through 6 months of classes and permits/licensing (NY) and then they would only give back 3 pistols. They said everything else was illegal and they were to be destroyed aka they kept it all for themselves. They have stopped and prevented hundreds if not thousands of bad things from happening to people and to this country every year. The FBI also saves a lot of lives every year and arrests a lot of very bad people. They don't always advertise their accomplishments. They're heroes. They just recently arrested a crazed individual who threatened the life of a Republican Congress woman and her family. The funny thing is, this Republican Congresswoman called for the "defunding" of the FBI, but now she's taking them. You should stop spreading misinformation because it's contagious and dumb people are prone to getting sick from it.

Absolutely loved watching this. Living in the UK, where handguns are banned, I was simply overawed by the number and quality of the guns on display. To say I'm green with envy would be an understatement! 😫
@dwi2921 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, being from Canada most of these guns would be consigned to the shredder. It's a real shame.

@@AndyAndy-bg7mv They (UK government) tried to merge the Shotgun and FAC but decided against it. For now anyway. Your main concern is is your SC renewals are dropped to 3 years.

And this is why gun collecting pays off. This guys collection probably quadrupled in value from the purchase dates. I'm sure it fared better than his 401K.

Beautiful collection. Was this actually filmed "real time"? I only ask because I'm surprised you didn't check to assure the chambers were empty.

You know you're excited about a collection when you pick up a pistol in an unknown state and point it at the cameraman with your finger on the trigger, right after talking about your hands shaking.

yeah, was thinking the same, first move, point in safe direction and clear..

Awesome collection of pistols... Wow! As a collector myself, this collection is worth a lot of money to say the least!

Very nice! I think though what goes by most people is that during the time frame this particular collector acquired, the firearms were plentiful and very reasonable in price. I'll surmise a WW II veterans. I had an uncle that was in WW II, Korea, and Vietnam. Quite a colorful career. Collection was at least five times greater than what was shown. Nonetheless, this was cool. And there are other large collections awaiting as time and contacts unfold.

Hopefully it was dummy rounds but judging how he ripped into that plastic bin at the beginning I doubt he even checked any of the chambers.

We checked. They were dummy rounds. We found no live rounds and yes. We checked every gun

I agree. It looked loaded to me too. You think he would have caught that. I guess he missed it because of all the dollar $$$ signs in his eyes.

The tank round is an APFSDS. Armor piercing, fin stabilized, discarding sabot round. It looks like a 105mm and says it, which is what the early M-1's and M - 60's had. I was an M - 60A3 tanker .

As a firearms instructor I cringed at the handing of so many firearms in an unknown state. I saw muzzle sweeping in so many unsafe directions. Amazing find - glad to see the history preserved. Please remember: Treat all guns as if they are loaded. ... Keep the gun pointed in the safest possible direction. ... Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. ... Know your target, its surroundings and beyond. ... Know how to properly operate your gun.

I'm a bit surprised by your willingness to handle so many firearms, many with their clip in and I didn't see anyone check to see if a single one is loaded. A couple times you even had your finger "against" the trigger not on it. But still. Sets a bad example in my opinion. Fantastic collection of many kinds of guns. Definitely a few I've never seen. Thanks for sharing but please be safe.

I am surprised by the many, many safety warriors on here! I am positive that every gun that was shown here was cleared long before you seen it! I guess that y’all had to comment something. If he had shown clearing every gun in this video it would have been many hours longer! Oh and by the way, those little clips you are talking about are magazines if you want to nit pick.

My Grandfather (WW2 airforce veteren) passed away when I was 19. The family on my moms side didn't know I had my firearms license or an interest in WW2 history. They gave all of his firearms to the RCMP for destruction. I only found out about it when I was 25. I'm devastated every time I think about it since then. I can only imagine what he had in his collection from the war. So sad.

I was a collector of firearms before. Actually had about 40+ different firearms at one point in my life but it's videos like these that made me rethink about life. The way I see it the guy probably really enjoyed firearms and probably collected them. But all they did was collect dust and ultimately sold for someone else to enjoy it way more than he did. I decided to slim down my collection to just 2 rifles and 2 pistols. I'm going to use my stuff heavily that way when I do pass away, the firearms will have been used heavily by me and hopefully funny stories and memories could be brought up about them that maybe my children will keep them rather than them being sold off because I collected them and they collected dust in some safe.

Come on weekend warriors enough with the gun safety comments you all must realize that collectable firearms that are owned by serious collectors never see a loaded cylinder or magazine. Any collectors you know of that load there guns and store them in there original boxes or holsters then in a plastic tote? God just enjoy the content! What a collection!
