Great video Glenn. Valve adjustment is a pain, but it will make the engine run at its best. My guess is that your electric start problem resides in the spark arrester though. Humans can apply much torque using the pull crank method, more then most people think. Starters on these engines can’t provide the initial torque required to overcome the back pressure in the exhaust port within the head to overcome the blockage. Regardless, great video and keep them coming. You still have a small Honda EM500 (or EM600) you need to make a video on! 😉

Adjusting valves will be a good thing and cleaning spark arrestor .I wonder , Does it have spark with electric start , if not could it be key switch , Only thing changing is turning the key . If key just on wonders if can try jump starting the starter to see if it starts.

Just uploaded the video adjusting the valves and cleaning the spark arrestor. Your thoughts on the start issue are mine also. No spark on electric starter. The new switch won't be here till two more days. You can't believe the suggestions I have received on this issue on the Facebook groups page.
