Lmaooo 😂 I know $ and £ are different but I've just furnished and styled my house for like less than £500 - bed, massive LG fridge, chest of drawers, side table, shoe storage, desk, dining room table and chairs, rugs and decorations. $1,200 for a sofa is like insane - I get it's probably a better brand - but still hearing "that was a steal" is quite funny haha

Congratulations! Your kitchen is HUGE! You could easily put an island in there if you wanted. Your home is lovely and cozy. I recently moved from CA to FL and purchased my home. You are correct in that you're never truly done decorating, it sort of evolves as you do. I actually really love shopping at Homegoods, and TJ Maxx for things. You can find some great items at discounted prices. Again, great job!

Maybe prices are different in Seattle but I feel like some of those items should have been waaay cheaper. I bought a couch, love seat and a big comfy chair set from a retailer all for only 1500. And in my FB market place items are probably about half the cost of the items you bought. Everything looks cute and you still saved, like alot! I think people should know you don't have to pay $15 for one pillow everywhere, it seems to depend on where you live.

I rent out rooms in my house & Facebook marketplace is definitely my favorite place to find roommates. It’s nice to be able to check out the person’s profile before you agree to meet, It saves so much time.

My dryer's lint trap used to do that too. Turns out there is built up lint under the trap that doesn't allow it to lay 100% flat so the clothes get caught. I fished some of the built up lint out with a chopstick. Worth a try!

Try this out, Monica, remove your couch and place it directly opposite of where it is now (facing the window, it will define the living room space), now you can place the chair in a better TV viewing position, directly opposite from the TV. The way the furniture is now, there is no proper seat that allows straight-on viewing, get an ottoman for the chair and some low pots or vases for in front of the window (don't hide the most valued part of that room-the wall of windows). A small dining table and chairs for the dining area and a dinette table for the kitchen area and you're going to be in business! And most importantly get a kick-ass sound system!

Your dryer is 'eating' your clothes because your lint trap needs to be cleaned out. You will also have to clean the lint trap slot and maybe check the dryer hose. If the lint trap isn't sitting flush, it's going to catch, twist and tear your clothes. Hope this helps

My dryer also eats my cloths. I've just gotten used to putting tanktops or anything that may get caught in those little mesh baggies. Also try vacuuming the vent as sometime the lint catcher cant fully go into the spot so it sticks up and there for catches cloths. Might also need to buy a new catcher thing. Ours was worn on the side. Good luck.

Put a tall and wide white metal bookshelf at the front door to make a foyer and separates the kitchen but is still open and can see through it. Put lots of plants and decor and put all dish for keys etc. 😊

tip for your dryer. there is probably a build up of lint under the lint trap that can be removed. you can clean it and then the clothes won't get caught on the vent anymore!

First, she loves wasting money which is evident by her personal appearance. Second, Facebook probably told her to optimize for the greatest price spread. If you get something for $50, with all the physical damage it probably isn't worth more than $200 tops. Buying fancy new items she's has a savings rate about the same or a bit less on the fair value. What looks better as an advertisement though, I saved $500 or I saved $3000 by using Facebook Marketplace.
