Randy, that Revelco thing under the dash is not for the supercharger. It is an anti theft device. If that cap is not in the port, the vehicle will not start. You put the cap on a key ring and take it with you. Nice buy. The H2 s are awesome in my opinion. They only will go up in value. I believe the rear bulkhead also folds down to make the truck bed bigger. Lastly, I thing there is a button for the driving lights in the headlight panel. Just to the right of the headlight switch.

Same thing happened to my 04' H2 after the battery went dead for awhile. Just disconnect the battery and wait 5mins, reconnect, all your problems should go away. So, in the future, if your H2 has a dead battery and you jump it, there's a good chance all of those lights and problems will be there again. After you run it for 30mins to charge the battery (assuming it's still good), disconnect it for 5mins and reconnect, those lights will go away again. I don't know why, but with GM vehicles, whenever the battery starts to go weak, a bunch of weird stuff starts to happen, especially with the dash lights.

keep it. Those are solid engines, even though some have piston slap when cold, some have oil usage even with lower miles. 300K miles before a rebuild can be achieved. Made before AFM. AFM is nothing but trouble. I have a 2004 Escalade with the 6.0 LQ9 and below 80K miles. Trouble prone areas , some shared with the Hummer?: A/C has those crappy flapper doors. Dash gauges , ride leveling with the air compressor. Better off just replacing it with shocks when needed. .

I think In the first part of the video it was in security mode, my silverado would do that same thing if the battery was really drained, it thought someone was trying to steal it. It would have no gauges, the interior lights would not go out, the backup lights would be on even when in park or drive, and the info area would say unknown driver instead of driver 1 or 2 when you start it. Let the battery come up to charge and disconnect it and reconnect it and it was fixed every time.
@j.t.83222 жыл бұрын
Good deal. From one Hummer owner to another, that's a very nice looking truck, too bad someone had to touch it with aftermarket accessories. (radio, headers, whipple, etc etc). That suprcharger would be hard on the 4×4 components because of gear ratio, thus prone to breaking down. Note-those sunroofs are notorious for clogging up and then leaking into the interior cab. PS, send the Ram down the road.
@hungryhungryhummer Жыл бұрын
These kits don’t typically run a whole lot of boost. The stock drivetrain is pretty stout other than the 4l transmissions. But it shouldn’t be any more unreliable than stock. Especially since the transmission should be tuned to not kill itself like from the factory.
@toolzshed2 жыл бұрын
Great troubleshooting Randy 🤘🏽😀
@kristofordurrschmidt Жыл бұрын
This is the "unknown driver" error from the H2. This occurs when the battery totally drains or near drains and causes confusion when it just barely turns over. To fix it, simply disconnect the battery for about 30 min and reconnect it. Good to go. Unfortunately, most H2 owners are familiar with the battery drain problems many have and correct them.
@hungryhungryhummer Жыл бұрын
I have good news for you! The 6.2s in the h2 do NOT have DOD. The provisions are there but the H2 did not get the lifters and problematic valve train parts like the trucks did. I believe this is because it’s because it’s on rhe 3/4 ton platform. Many people consider the l92 from the 08 to be one of the best engines gm ever built.

You had a battery power issue. If you notice the volts were very low and probably the ECM or PCM didn’t allow power to certain features. My Camaro acted up one time due to the battery and it was low at crank. Replaced it and issues went away. Something drained that battery and once you drive it charged up. Yet you have a gremlin like a solenoid stuck. I had a 2008 Chevy that constantly dead battery due to a solenoid. Ended up trading it bc the dealer never figured it out. Later I realized it was a solenoid. My Jeep is always having this issue after 10yrs.
