I Bought A JUNK 240sx & VIPER Swapped It

The Nissan 240sx is one of the most sought-after cars to come out of Japan in the 90’s. While the Nissan 240sx is not as highly regarded as models like the Supra, Rx7, or NSX. To drifters, the Nissan 240sx is the cream of the crop! The aftermarket parts support for this chassis is huge because of this.
The factory KA24 motor may be the least supported power plant for the Nissan 240sx though. Motor swaps play a huge roll in this chassis popularity. 2jz, Sr20, RB26, K20, LSx are all popular choices. For that reason, we wanted to use something different. And I can't say that I have seen a Dodge Viper V10 motor in the 240sx S14 chassis.
Owning the nation's leading sports car auto salvage yard, Lee C Parts. Gives us the opportunity to buy almost anything we would need. One motor with huge power capacity, but also not regularly swapped is the Dodge Viper V10. Luckily, we already have a couple Dodge Viper V10s at the shop. Could there really be enough space to fit a Dodge Viper V10? Now, it’s time to see if it actually fits!

Pro tip: make a temporary mount for the engine and trans. Put scales on all 4 wheels. In the current location the weight distribution in going to be far forward. Will work but I can guarantee it will not be fun to drive.

Like you, I've also wanted one of these cars for a long time. This model of 240sx is a legend and is like to experience it. I like this swap. Maybe a rotisserie restoration is in order for the damaged underbody, structural parts and to lizard skin inside and out for future rust prevention. I'll keep an eye out for this project🏆

Sold my near immaculate black S14 1998 5yrs ago 79k miles for $12k conservatively lowered with ProMax coilovers with soft springs and had a Smooth ride just like O.E., all hiem joint suspension, quiet exhaust, excellent original interior,10inch tires at rear w/46 offset and 9s in the front, No flaires needed. Been missing that car

Rust and 240’s are notorious things tho, I bought a nice s13 coupe jacked it up, and the cup of the Jack got stuck in the rusted frame rail. Then I won on a 95 240. Rear shocks are also notoriously known for blow outs.

You should have let us hear what it sounded like before you removed the V8, lol. Also, this may be a bit of a side track but still in a way related. I have an '04 Outback and driver's side rear jack spot is rotted, infact, that whole front part of the rear wheel well is rotted. Since you don't seem too concerned with yours, is that an expensive job? Thanks man and, can't wait to see this project progress. It's probably less well known now. But back in the day David's car was one of the most famous in UK drifting:) back when only a few hundred people were really into it and we used £500 skylines 😅 Times have changed a lot but seeing this video brought it all back!
