Had my 2005 v6 4.0 petrol discovery 3 here in Australia for 14 years and it has never let me down, absolutely love it. 🇬🇧

@waynehill9198 nice! There's almost none of them D3s over here in the UK 😕 In fact, I think other than the 2.7 tdv6, we only have the 4.4 v8 petrol?? Ğ

Own a 2008 Discovery3 SE V8 with air suspension and terrain response, it now has 104K miles ...and it's awesome as long as you keep up with maintenance it wil be fine ..Cheers 🍻🇺🇸

@Jay-mk2wk highly recommended! The UK is a great place to strike out from, so many options... it's touched upon in our blog: oglum-clothing.uk/blogs/og-blog/top5cars I'm very tempted by a D2, maybe that'll be what comes next after this D3? 👀 ğ

Its's a great car!!! Best car i haver owned! I do also.have an LR3 2.7 TDV6. Preventative maintenance and it will serve you well. Gremlins will always be present nevertheless... best regards from Portugal and safe trips mate

Can’t beat a discovery 3 had mine 3 years now and love it had its fair share of work but nothing out of the ordinary they can’t be that bad if it’s done 200k plus miles and still going 💪🏻 😂

IMO, as long as it’s been well maintained, it should cope well with a long journey. With such a huge mileage though, items may well be past their best…I assume you had all the oils changed etc.

Correct! I actually bought the vehicle off a breaker, who did an engine/gearbox swap with a well maintained RRS on 120k. Alot of the major stuff has been replaced prior to my ownership, like the rear diff, compressor. I have since, and as you'll see in later parts of this series fell foul of a couple of other bits though 😅😢 Nothing that wasn't an easy[ish] fix though!

@StephenMose FINALLY someone has mentioned that. Well, this vehicle may or may not have had an EGR delete and may or may not have been coded out yet. [Of course if the previous owner deleted it then it would have one refitted ready to pass its MOT] It really does bug me that its on there though 😅🤣 ğ
