Most cars produced in the last few years have a sleep function. Once the key stays still for 5-10 mins the signal switches off so they can’t use the relay method to steal it. At that point if they want it they’ll still Get it by coming into your house. I’d rather them just take it than come near my family or pets personally

@@hazzzy9471 not really, they hold value well to be honest, apart from the niche stuff like these 6 and 7 series have always plummeted fast, 1, 3 and 5 series hold value well. It's mainly mercs that plummet big time heaps of bling bling shit with massively overpriced tags on them. Guarantee an e of s class on the same age and year of these would be worth even less than the beemer.

prob has the 48v motor put in place of the starter motor to aid acceleration etc..48v motor is used to start vehicle as well..

On the subject of bmw wheel refurbs, I'm having a nightmare right now for the second time. First time they were refurbished, the car was juddering due to the rear of the wheel being painted. The rear of the wheels were decoated and were running perfect. 8 months later, just had them done gloss black and the rear of the wheels not been painted, however the dreaded judder is back. 3 wheel balances later in a few days, its still doing it. Beware getting your bmw wheels refurbished

Don't hand over the car keys unless the gates are shut ! YG registered suggests it's an ex BMW management car. Your driver needed a suit and a chauffeur's hat on.

Registered by BMW at the UK PDI centre in Thorne, South Yorkshire, any Y plate registered by BMW can also mean it was a hire car by Enterprise/Thrifty etc @@andybennett1133

If you see a BMW ( or mini ) with a Y prefix it’s probably ex management but that can inc demo or press , staff inc factory workers and some daily rental but it’s come Bmw corporate, for the London Olympics Bmw registered 2,000 cars

I ended up buying a short wheel base 7 series instead of a 5 series. They're not much bigger and come way better equipped out of the box. And thanks to depreciation they're massively good value. 730d is the smart choice The irony of you buying this stock as the autotrader KZbin channel is about to drop a review on the 7 series

Loads more comfortable than the 5, which I find ‘crashy’ on run flats. I daily a 730d SE SWB. Bought for £27k from main dealer. Now done 60k miles in it in just over 2.5 years. Motorway miles mostly. 47mpg average over my ownership. Perfect for the motorway cruise and doing big miles.
