the compression release on the camshaft makes it feel like it doesn’t have much compression, it cracks the exhaust valve open just a bit to make for easier starts.

I recently got one of these myself. I downloaded coleman user manual and assembly manual. lots of these were sold in a box and required some user assembly. I noticed in your video that the brake assembly hold bolt is backwards and may not be the correct bolt it requires a safety cotter pin after the nut which should face outward. you did get the carb gaskets on correctly, the back fender bolts are upside down too. I saw the spark plug boot rattling after the start up, maybe the plug is loose. mine had the fork neck parts all wrong and loose after putting it right my forks were perfect. using the low flow filter and exhaust does require a different jet as well. got mine running very good with a few new parts but I am going with a predator 224 and torque converter. but the 196 does have good power too.

I dont know about honda clones but the Hondas need the air filter to make a slight choke.dont know if you already knew that or not.if not hopefully it was helpful

Naw. Both Honda GX200 and the clones have been run for many years with either open air filters like he has or no filter. Some of the guys who run their bikes on the street will run without air filters. I wouldn't. The stock airbox and filter works great if you want stock performance.

been thinking about how you so quickly got views. I think it was thanks to the shorts you made in the beginning. KZbin is trying to capitalize on captive short video viewers like TikTok does. I bet if you make a few more shorts they will get pushed for viewer content and result in a few more new viewers.
