Tidy honest motor,I have an r50 1.4 diesel (Toyota)D4D unit,absolutely cracking motor,I can,t fault it,a great pity they only used this unit until 2006,I don,t like the R56 onward,they are not as edgy,they have been softened

The gearbox receipt is the golden ticket and value wise i think your on the button I was thinking between £1.995ono and take an little bit less and because anyone looking for this car will want to check the gearbox and would be willing to pay for the peace of mind that it wont need another £1000 spending on it

To be honest I think it should be around £1895 and haggle to £1850. A new clutch and gearbox as you say is goldust. Got be worth a premium above other Minis

That interior is a bit marmite. I used to have a 3 series with that colour sears and everyone hated it. I loved it, so much brighter than the usual black interior with black seats. Looks like a fun motor that has been looked after

Lovely little motor, great fun to drive. It’s been well looked after, next owner will reap the rewards. I have no mechanical knowledge but a glovebox of receipts would give me confidence in it.

This car is mint. It looks like its never been driven in salty conditions. Its very clean underneath. The history is fantastic and the car has been well looked after. Also good to see a car dealer whos not a complete twat and just selling whatever crap they get there hands on. Not many like yourself will actually prep the car properly and provide a decent car to the end customer. Throw the bushes on, do the wheel bearing, clean it up properly inside, give it a good buffing up outside and thats a perfect 2k car all day. It'll last for many years for the next owner. I would state in your advert about how clean it is underneath and also the gearbox refurb. Will sell in no time. Love the interior, it just a nice place to be in.

I think that’s a fair price for a car that’s been looked after. I love these little cars, I’ve just bought my mrs a mini one on an 05 plate for £695, just tidied it up and put an mot on it, she loves it and so do I. Might even buy one for myself 👍

Tidy for the age. Had a few of these brand new back in the day, great fun to drive, but nothing but problems even when new, and the Rover gearbox in the One and Cooper models was a headache. Reading the comments on here, doesn't look like they improved with age! Recently found your channel, really enjoying the content.

Shame theres not many left of these cars left , good first time cars now for the younger gen. gearbox, but Head gasket killed most of these, I should know I work at the engine plant, hopefully yours maybe done already or has been well lokked after.

I bought one of these recently, oil leaks biggest issue, and to fix you've got to take the entire front of the car off if it's oil filter housing

I’ve just bought a 3 owner 80k black convertible one, girl had new rad fitted 300 quid, took it back because heaters not working, garage said to much investigation needed and it had an internal leak, roof he said, turns out it was just door membrane and she had put rad weld in before the new rad due to old one leaking, 16 quid off eBay, system flush (a few times) jobs a good un 🙏🏻

Looks better than our lasses 06 cooper which I sold in December due to gearbox and MOT due, ours had the Crono package and cruise control but interior wasn't full leather, the Mini stereo on the R50 cooper is crap so no doubt thats why it's not the original stereo. With gearbox sorted and it's been looked after someone should get 2 or 3 years out of it.

Hi Twiz there will be update video on the citroen c4 this week, spoiler alert its not gone to plan 😒 As for the fees they are a lot over £500 but they are at most auctions now. Be careful with those wheel bearings off eBay mate, I bought the exact same ones for me 330ci. Sold as ‘OE QUALITY’ ‘NOT CHEAP WHEEL BEARINGS’ 5 miles they were both on the car before they had more play than the original BMW ones on 170k had. Just be wary buy cheap buy twice!

Love the interior❤ I think the FSH, colour and interior makes it a peg above others. Inial thought was £21/4, but from your homework I would go £1995, that is unless u need a fast flip. I think it will appeal as it is a bit different, in a nice way . GLGL

Previous owner must have been mental to put a new clutch and gearbox in that car as when they sold it they probably only got £500 off a dealer in part exchange , if i had an old car and did all the work to it i would not sell it id just drive it for another few years until the engine blew up lol otherwise its a false economy anyway you done well getting it for £925 in the current market once fixed you can retail that for probably £1800 id guess

crazy isnt it that we have to resort to ebay to get good prices these days since places like brown brothers pages and partco have all gone over the years,the ones (factors) in existance now appear to be in a big cartel so ebay is always used to give me ballpark figures of prices,im after a headlamp for a pewgot they were £120 3 years ago now these same places want £250
