Without a doubt, the most interesting video you have ever posted mate. There can only be so many Toyota Aygos requiring a bit of paint before you sell it on to a thrifty punter right? We get that, but that K10 Micra...a beautiful example. People talk about "every day driver" classics, when what they really mean is every day...in the summer...as long as it isn't rainy...or a bit windy.🙄 That old thing will actually drive every day, just wash out the winter salt from the sills and the wheel arches on a regular basis. Amaze your friends by driving an old car that works, but doesn't require a second mortgage. Oh Nissan, where did it all go wrong? 😭

Well done Liam mate on your purchases .. I love classic cars.. thank you for sharing the Auction with us.. it brings back so many memories of the cars I’ve had.. I had loads from the age of 16 to 25 .. I literally changed cars every single month.. I’ve kept a lot of the log books to remind me.. I have owned over 60 fords and at one moment had 11 mrk 3 cortina’s on my drive and my favourite one was called a Broad speed which many people haven’t heard of .. unfortunately the price of these cars back then were lucky to reach 8 hundred pounds.. now I wish I kept them all 🤪😳 but I wouldn’t of changed anything from my past .. my favourites will be with me always.. escort vans with one door at the rear with body kits on .. Xr2s I had over 15 of them.. I was a Ford nutter 😂 now I’m currently driving a Vauxhall Zafira 1.7 diesel on a 2010 plate and it’s been expensive to keep up .. new fly wheel and clutch and cam belt and water pump and new injectors etc but the leather seats and everything else is making this car so comfortable.. not many left in this condition but not many like them either.. keep up the great work Liam .. 👍👍

My Berlingo has just had a new engine at a personal cost of over £7K despite full service history, Citroen said it would be covered by warranty but 2 days latter said it wouldn’t, we went to Citroen UK who allegedly looked into it eventually came back and agreed with our garage that the warranty wouldn’t cover it. The problem is how do people like us challenge a company like stelantis who all work together to avoid paying for warranty work. After years of owning Citroens i will never buy any of their products again or go to my local Croxdale garage.

My first car was a mk3 spitfire. I fully rebuilt the engine at age 18, so 44 years ago, skimmed head, new pistons, valves, big end bearings, gudgeon pins, clutch and release bearing. Then had a blowout on the way back from Chelford, rolled it, fortunately I had a bucket seat and the seatbelt held me in. Police turned up, bagged me, I was clear. Such a shame, all down to a Pirelli tyre…….and the fact I was going a bit fast. Fast is relative, I could take the corner at double the speed in the GR Yaris. How times have changed.

QUESTION: Could you please say whether to buy one of these (older) Citreon diesel cars (Xsara Picasso 2.0 Litre HDi, Citroen Berlingo/Peugeot Partner 2.0 Litre HDi, Citroen C3 1.4 Diesel) are a good bet for someone such as myself? I live in a rural area and seldom go to large cities. I cover around 18,000 miles a year for my work.

For 16 years I lived next door to a garage where cars were serviced and repaired. There were 4 mechanics working there, and they confirm everything which the presenter of this excellent video has been saying. They said how good the Citroen 2.0 litre HDi engine was (as put in the earlier Berlingos and earlier Xsara Picasso). They also said how good the 1.4 litre diesel was which was put in the Citroen C3 Mark 1 and Mark 2.

I bought the missus a rover sim to that id say 10years ago .head gasket blew on way home had murder with garage never again 😅😅

Lee, as much as I wish you luck with your raffles and trying to raise money for charity it is such a shame that both the vehicles are not ULEZ compliant as I believe that a lot more viewers would buy a ticket if they were, but there are so many cities now imposing these stupid rules that as much as they would love to own one they can not.

Cracking video! In the past, we've owned a Hillman Minx (my wife's first car), a couple of 1100s, MG Metro, two Allegros (one an estate), a Renault 12 and a Rover 200 diesel (which was an utter dog) and an Austin Princess. Oh and a couple of Mk2 Cavaliers and a Mk1 Astra and a VW bay window camper. Hard to pick a favourite, but the top of the shop was a 2005 Citroen Xsara Picasso with the bomb proof 2.0hdi engine.

Really great video Lee. ACA is a great auction house and as you say always very friendly and helpful. Both days were great although my interest was focused this time on Sunday for the classic bikes. Waved goodbye to four only so I can make way for something like that Wolsey Hornet for the misses. Both the micro and cooper were great buys.

If you raffle the Mini ill certainly buy some raffle tickets. As an ex Clio 182 owner the Gordini 197 was very cheap a bird on my street had an identical car . Was hoping you would bid on it. Someone if seller accepts the bid the buyer has got a cheap motor.

Mate of mine in the mid 90s had a 2CV. Coming home from Manchester Airport im nearly home to see my mates 2CV upside down.To this day i still don't know how he over turned it.

My 2nd car in 92 was an F reg 16V Astra GTE i loved the car & at 21 thought i was the dogs dangles. My brother had a C reg 1.8 GTE & an H reg 16V. At 23 my next car was a 2 year old J reg Cavalier GSi 2000 . The day i got it a workmate bought an H reg Sapphire Cosworth. In the 4 years i had my GSi he had 8 Cosworths. 1 Sierra 2 door 5 Sapphires his last been a K reg Rouse followed by an N reg Escort Cosworth. He then left but im laid to believe he still has an Escort Cosworth.

Should have gone for the RS Turbo, theres money in that after recommissioning, not sure the mini market is any good these days tbh. The Escort 1600 when for nearly £30k on the Sunday, crazy prices. The GTE, there is money in those, any 80's 90's hot hatches are the place to be at the moment

Apparently when Lee left school his first job was testing mini door handles, Any that he closed first time were sent back down the line and adjusted until it took Lee atleast 2 (ideally 3) attempts to close the drivers door😊

Morning , good to see some old classics , a trip down memory lane. I see in the desc that alot of the card say MOT exempt, i thought all cars had to have an MOT as mandatory after the 1st 3 years ? I thought after 25yrs they were 'road tax' exempt ??

Hi lee, this was a walk down memory lane, the metro brought back a scare, was driving a new one of them one day and the bottom half of dashboard fell off, new undercrakers were required...😄

I used a K10 Micra for driving lessons back in the day ( retired now !) Brilliant little car finally died at 160,000 miles after a hard life..

I'm weird with cars, walk past the Ferrari's without giving em a second glance but I'd be all over that Wolesley Hornet, brown Metro etc 😂
