I bought one of the cheaper ones a few months ago. It’s a good deal in terms on value/price and amount of product, but definitively not the best sets. I had some pretty bad luck because I pulled nothing from the 30 booster packs I got. Still pretty fun to open.

That 1800 Vanilla was a World Chalice card and you can actually play it in World Chalice as you need Vanillas in the deck and you can Special Summon him from Deck.

Hard to say with this one. I guess it would be worth it if they did not include speed duel packs. Maybe set like mystics fighters and destiny soldiers would make this worth it. Not bad opening overall.

Honestly the best part of the box was the random assortment of packs. The random 2017 megatin pack was probably the most fun pack there even though it didn't have the best cards.

I bought the platinum box before, I would only say it was worth because I had an amazon gift card that made it a bit cheaper, I believe I got genesis impact as the booster box, it was decent, still a good experience, might try it again?

That was pretty cool. Gives me some hope for mystery boxes. IDK if you have them in the US but in Canada Dollarama sells mixed packs of cards. If you have something like that in the US you should do like a 100 pack opening. Would be interesting to see if you can actually pull something valuable.

I’m slowly getting back into collecting these cards. Question is: what packs do i need to open to have the best chance at finding synchros? What’s the lowest priced pack with the most synchro cards in them?

Synchro Storm is pretty recent and has a good amount of Synchro support and synchro monsters that come in at common/rare. A box of 36 packs goes for around $55 and you'll probably pick up all the common and rare synchros and a few of the holo synchros. Burst of Destiny goes for $70-75 for a box of 24 packs and has a few synchros as well, but you might not be able to build a deck around them with a single box.
