Yep once the divorce was final you are done with her. You bought the house as a single man. They actually committed a couple of crimes. Good for you for pressing charges. Where I live it takes 15 years to gain rights over a property along with maintaining the property, paying all property taxes AND keeping them current.

When you came home and the door wad ajar, why wasn't home security upgraded immediately? Cameras and a more sophisticated door lock should have been Step One, installed the next day!

My ex claimed my apartment was hers when we broke up. I had bought it before we had even met. She never lived there, and we were not even married, dated for less than.a year. The delusion of the woman. I sold it and moved without her realizing. The new owner was a cop, and she decided to break in one night. Needless to say, it didn't end well for her... a couple of bullets later, and she ended up in hospital for a month.
