Dear Paul! If you want to get rid of the rug's cigarette smell, I recommend you buy some cheap vodka, and spray it generousy all over the carpet and let it evaporate. You can do this 2 or 3 times to make sure the smell is fully gone. Vodka is an amazing de-ordorant for fabric and it does not damage textiles or dies. Peace!

I LOVE IT...before I even continued onward with the video, the moment you mentioned the vintage, thrifted clothes taking up so much of your real estate I instantly thought about MY situation with my personal wardrobe in my house of which the majority contains thrifted vintage and dated pieces, and that for a while I considered getting a storage unit to use it as a closet away from home...just set it up with garment racks and shelves just as my main closet is. My main closet is a spare room used as a closet, and the actual closet of the room is packed. I took over the walk-in closet in the guest room, there's a storage area off our basement stairs with a small "closet" my husband had someone build in that area which I use, I took over the guest coat closet and recently to date, I am taking over the closet that's in our laundry room. Yes, my husband has plenty to say about me "taking over all the closet space in the house" and has since forbade me from using our master bedroom walk-in closets that he has claimed and guarded for himself. I have since purged A LOT of clothing and shoes late Dec 2022 before the new year AND the beginning of January 2023...and purchased more clothes and shoes since. Nevertheless, this video is an inspiration to go forth with my idea of using a public storage space as a "closet away from home" or what I also refer to as my "drive-up closet." 😁.

Very cool I'm working on doing the same thing. They have weather controlled storage units here with electricity and sound proof. Thought about doing that then a buddy said just make a overhang or huge plastic like 20x10 type structure.
