Appreciate how humble you are. One thing you kept saying is how lucky you were outside of farming. I know you’re trying not to brag on yourself but be sure to give yourself credit, hard work trumps luck almost every time. You’ve busted your butt to get here; enjoy it.

That says volumes about you that you explain to the younger people that your farming operation isn’t totally funding your equipment purchases. Social media makes it look like it’s easy to get new equipment, and if you aren’t driving newer equipment then you’re not successful. every operation is different, and has to be tailored to the individuals finances.. amount of ground, outside income, rent vs owned, etc.. there’s a lot of variables. It’s probably a lot harder to get started today than it was 41 years ago when I started. I already liked your channel, but I like it even more knowing how you are so up front, and how you clarify your business. Great channel!

Amen to that. We're just getting rolling on our farm rebuilding fertility on land we bought following a flood. Thus far, farming is the process of spending money from my day job to hopefully get returns five, ten years hence. The local JD dealer did give me a hat and some free coffee in a styrofoam cup though.

Idk about reliable. Our 8310r needed a full engine overall at 7,000 hours and nothing but sensor problems everywhere. His only has 4,000 so that tractor will last a long time before it needs anything major.

But he’s also gonna ruin the tractor completely if the tile plow is as big as the tractor, when I say as big I mean in height like one of them big ones. That power shift will get ruined, I personally love power shift tractors because their easy to drive and shifting is excellent but putting it on a tile plow will absolutely ruin that tractor

Good luck with your new tractor. Having owned one of those you will want to have the cooling fan drive checked, and make sure you grease the front C.V. joints by removing the plugs and installing a zerk . also use caution changing the tires. The front and rear are matched by the diameter with I believe gear in the transmission. I would ask Deeres service department before doing it. Again, the best of luck to you.

Tip for you Grease grease grease the ILS ever other day if being used all day! Another check to do in the ils to make sure the accumulators are good is to put it in gear and you should be able to get the front end to bounce up and down with moving the throttle up and down. If not you will need accumulators

Make sure the intake filter in the roof for the fans is clean there a lot louder if there not clean. If you ever start getting water dripping out of the roof or vents to with ac it’s the drain lines coming down from the roof are plugged they come out at the front right corner post outside just blow air back up through it and it’ll be good and drain properly again.

Hi Grant. If that tractor has a Gen 3 touch screen command center, it will run Autotrac, section control and rowsense. If it's a real early non touch, you can swap a touch one into it. You'll just need an unlock for autotrac. If you want one, I have a used unlock code for about 1/3 of a new one. Also have a used touch display. The unlocks are interchangeable with a 2630.

Spraying with front duals is going to be costly. If you’ve got your tractor weighted heavy it kinda makes sense to just leave it as your tillage tractor and use your other tractor to spray and plant.
