Just sold my g8 gt. Went back to another 5th gen Camaro. Dod delete is a must. My car was dod deleted. Btr stage 2 cam with circle d 2800 stall. Put a camaro ss rear end In it with 327 gears. Car drove pretty much like stock. Mash the gas an it screamed. Had a 100 shot wet kit also. I would suggest buying a spare bumper for the car because they are getting very hard to find. Just Incase you ever need to replace it.

I have a Black ‘09 G8 GT. Owned it for a little over two years. The front ends(steering and suspension) always needing shit like sway bar links, ball joints, wheel bearing, etc. I also had a thumping coming from the back. This I found out was the driveshaft. Also my stereo and screen just stopping working and the screen went white. My headliner also is falling off everywhere. It’s a fun car tho. Just wish I could manual swap it

Common problem .. ac belt slipping off the tensioner.

Yep. If you floor it with the AC on there's a good chance the belt will pop off

@@SUPERBRO9 not really. All you can do is not floor it if you have the ac running. Normal or a little more than normal acceleration isn't a problem. Just pedal to the floor makes the belt pop off. It's not guaranteed to happen every time but it happens A LOT. If I turn my ac on and warm air comes out, I check and sure enough the belt popped off. It's not very hard to get back on though

I've got a 2009 G8 GT with 160,000 miles on it. At 155,00 miles it started to get cold start lifter tick from a failing lifter in the DOD system. So during quarantine this year I pulled the motor apart and put a Texas speed stage 1 cam in it, full valve train kit from texas speed, and got the heads cleaned up by a shop, stock headers with catback exhaust makes 450 to the wheels. I daily drive it and it's great! I will say the radiator fans are on full blast almost all the time, but it never overheated a single time in the summer

Also gotta add that it needs a transmission definitely, pushes through the converter too much and even before the cam the trans didn't seem happy, now it's pissed haha

450 wheel horse power with stock manifolds and a stage one can 🤔 super happy dyno. You don't need a new "transmission" if it's pushing thru the brakes...you need a converter 😐

@@alexdepta1000 under acceleration it'll push through the converter I believe, it's in the trans shop rn getting a built trans and a yank 3200 converter, 450 did seem a little high, all dynos read a little different. The cams pretty aggressive for a stage one however, it's a 225/236 duration, .629 .615 lift with 113 LSA

Looks garage kept, I got an 09 just recently with 35.5xx miles snd the window trim seals are bad and it leaks into the doors and the windows won’t roll down I think I need new window control buttons, had to remove the headliner as it’s sagging so I can get it reupholstered. And make sure to get relays for the instrument panel by driver feet before they dry up.
