Still trying to find a decent one closer to me but the only g8 gt that I can find has 128,000 miles and the price is 17,000 is that a decent ?
@ageise02833 жыл бұрын
I think so, with the market right now its tough to tell but ive been looking around at comps to mine and $17k sounds right, just make sure its clean, a lot of g8s have torn seats, falling headliners etc. no reason to settle. Theyre lots of fun wish you luck.

Can we get a update considering buying a gt wanted to get some pros and cons
@ageise02833 жыл бұрын
Hey! Yea so just make sure to do your homework, i would suggest buying one with less miles just bc of all the maintenance we’ve had to do Since the video a major job was doing all the coils One went on cylinder 8 and then the next week another misfire w cylinder 5 so we just got all eight done for ~1700$ Other than that everythings been great, gets good ish gas mpg if you drive it nice occasionally i get 18 right now Still the best car my family has owned. Handles amazing and has plenty of power. Cant get a better highway car that just loves to sit at 90 aside from an SS. So in all pros are - cheap purchase price at least back in 2018 - great ride - handling - seats are super comfy and can easily fit five - huge trunk - great long distance(this one did nj to fl with ease) - goodish mpg for what it is - good looks( and community) Cons - poor mpg compared to regular cars - lots of maintenance if you buy a higher mileage (but i think its really just car to car cant make any assumptions, you can just get lucky or not)i think our toral over the last 3 years is around 4k ik i said that in the video but i think i was off by a bit - cosmetic things are hard to get fixed ie- door handle paint chipping and wheels are hard to find Lmk if you wanna know some more tried to fit as much as possible might be rambling a bit.

@@ageise0283 not at all dude that was the closest thing to perfect and as honest as it gets much appreciated and will consider all things said. Stuck between a g8 gt or Mercury Marauder. Every car has its flaws. Gonna study what you said. Thank you so much
@ageise02833 жыл бұрын
@@Heel_Punk ofc my pleasure, if its between those two the benefits of the g8 are ofc the handling prowess and more power, when it comes to reliability the marauder prolly has it beat but two cool cars anyway

What were the 4k in repairs towards?
@ageise02834 жыл бұрын
So we got the car in april of 2019 and the first tune up was just regular stuff for when buying a used car and it was like $800 and then we had to buy new wheels for $400(some were cracked I got a deal on facebook marketplace). The next big thing was the water pump failed while we were down in florida, the dealer we went to didnt do a great job so after we got it back to nj we had to fix their crap work. So it was $400 in fl and another $400 in nj. Then the two oil changes $300 and other minor stuff made it go up a bit. Lol i may have overestimated a tad more like $3000 but still is a lot. Id definitely recommend one but make sure it has good records and was treated right. Oh also we’ve had a good amount of a/c trouble( typical with 10 yr old cars) we’ve spent about $500 in recharging and fixing it last summer and this summer.
@C-137703 жыл бұрын

@@ageise0283 thats not even bad.... I thought you were gonna say engine heads, transmission catalytic converter. expensive stuff..... all that really went wrong with the car was a water pump?? a $130 part and maybe 2 hours of labor. after a year has anything else happened to the vehicle? I've pretty much got my mind set on a G8 GT being my next car just doing much research as possible
@ageise02832 жыл бұрын
@@chango.-. yea so the only thing to add is the coils started going two failed within a month so we did all 8 for ~$1800 other than that maybe another $500 in misc. its a lot but most had to be done for it to be livable.
@chango.-.2 жыл бұрын
@@ageise0283 preciate it. coils and spark plugs run for about $215 online, the G8 would be my project car so stuff like that I can do in my freetime. So a tune up, and replacing the coolant system when I get one..... other than small maintance items the vehicles been treating you well?
