I Bought A Rare Phone | Nokia 3300 US Version

The Nokia 3300 was released in 2003 a few months before the attempted Gameboy competitor, the Nokia N-GAGE. The 3300 is a highly sought after collectors item which sells for hundreds or thousands of dollars online. The US version as seen here, is extra rare as it was only available in America and was not too popular due to its weird design. As a guy who collects rare and vintage Nokia phones and other collectible phones, I just had to get it at such a low price! .... In the age of the iPhone 11, Galaxy Note 20, One Plus Nord and Google Pixel 4a..designs like these have been almost forgotten...so here in 2020, lets take a closer look at this rare and weird Nokia phone from 2003!

I had this. I bought mine in Norway. It had a few games on it (orginal ones, never put any other on), and I would play a decent game of reversi (othello) on it when pooping at work! The AI opponent for reversi is pretty good, but the highest level isn't super good, only fairly good. Had a favourite far away almost hidden toilet with lots of sunshine in the window, so I can tell you the screen is pretty bright. I miss that toilet, and I miss that phone! :D Also, coming from the 5500 before it, I really loved that qwerty keyboard! It's very clicky, and with my fat manual labour fingers, it was perfect, as in "hard enough that you had to mean it" when clicking on each key, so very few accidental typos. Also, having a split keyboard like this gives each thumb exactly half the keyboard, and makes it impossible for the right thumb to accidentally type G when you're trying to type H and vice versa, as they're on opposite signs of the screen. This makes it super fast to type text. I'm considering buying one for taking notes in the field. It won't work as a phone here anyway, as both 2G and 3G is shut down here.

check ebay..but its pretty rare
