The Sixaxis controller was the original controller for the PS3. The DualShock 3 came out 2 years after the release of the console. The Sixaxis was made following a lawsuit regarding the haptic feedback tech from earlier controllers. It’s kinda unusual to see one with a PS3SS seeing as they were released in 2012, but it’s still compatible.

I purchased a second slim unit this week , got the 320gb and it is all blacked out and matte finish , which is amazing to clean! First ps3 has multiple accounts and dlc that we don't want to loose. Awesome dvd and blu ray player too !

I really miss having my PS3, I used to have a lot of game systems. Sadly when I got older I wanted the Xbox one and Playstation 4, and sold the PS3 which I still to this day regret. I used to have a Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 original, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3. Then after I bought my first Xbox One I started getting rid of the other systems. So now I only have an Xbox 360 Slim, Xbox one S, and an Original Xbox. Hopefully I will have my own Gaming Room Setup with all of the old and new consoles. Who here is getting the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5?? Or just one of the two.

The easiest way to tell if a ps3 controller is genuine or not is to open it, you can tell immediately by the battery. Most if not all the knockoffs use a blue battery and tape it to the board using double sided sticky tape. The genuine controllers use a grey battery with the Sony logo on them and are held in place with a plastic bracket , they are also in a plastic case where as the knockoff battery is wrapped.

the controller is counterfeit, the sixaxis and dualshock 3 were 2 different controllers. the sixaxis was the controller bundled with earlier versions of the PHAT ps3

Hi, thanks a lot for the video. this Version of PS3 super slim is rubbish as hell! Mine (a white version) looks like brand new in comparism. And mine was used by 8-12 year old kids for years ... I'm from Germany. So i don't have to rely on gamestop for used consoles and games. There's a company in Berlin named rebuy, which gives a 36 months warranty to used consoles. This is better than sony's warranty. That's why i bought my PS4 there, instead of purchasing a new one.

I bought this super slim model new just before the PS4 and it’s also my first PS3 system. I don’t know what the older models are like playing on them. For some odd reason when I watch a DVD movie on it, the movie stutters around every 5 mins for a few seconds. It play Blu Ray movies fine, and the games play fine. Other than that I had no issues but I also only have maybe around 500 hours on the system tops.
