There could be all kinds of circumstances, the person lost their job, couldn’t afford to pay for the unit, so I never understand why people on empty out the good stuff if they know they’re gonna be in that position. The person could’ve died could’ve went to jail could be a number of reasons.

I feel the same way. You can tell that they bought things for loved ones and they never even realized how much she was thinking of them. I recognize a "giver" because I'm the same way. I do my best to bring presents every time I see them though, so that way I don't end up like this. It breaks my heart. I feel awful for her. 😢

I think they found all this stuff in dumpsters behind stores. Lots of people do that. Dumpster diving is a big thing because you can sell this stuff like he is going to do a search on KZbin for dumpster diving videos. There's lots out there.

This storage unit is what my Grandma's 2bd home and 3 backyard sheds look like... she's a hoarder but I don't like to call her that because it's nothing dirty or any trash. She left an abusive man, escaped with her life and in turn she lost her home and everything she ever owned... so once she was finally able to, she bought her place and then she discovered retail therapy and then started over compensating for everything she lost and keeping EVERYTHING that was in good working condition, because you never know what you might need later, need to sell later for cost of living/bills or even what could happen next.

I was in the hospital for 46 days and my lazy non-working husband ran home to momma because he couldn’t pay the rent. I obviously wasn’t working my two jobs to support him and my two girls. The landlord changed the locks so I became homeless and had to put my girls in foster care. The landlord put all my belongings and furniture in storage in another city and I had no money to get my belongings so I lost everything. This video popped up in my feed so I clicked on it to see what it was about. I got a heart wenching knot in my stomach because I had lost everything I owned and irreplaceable family items through no fault of my own. I only watched a few minutes of this and stopped because it was killing me to see total strangers going through another’s personal belongings without thought as to the story behind how and why things are left in these units. This all happened 20 years ago, I divorced him 2 years later and my girls are grown up and married now. We made it through those hard times but what I treasured the most was their pictures from their births to preteen years. Forever gone.

Great unit. Most new stuff. Easy sell. Love all the baskets, jute, handled and covered. The coloring books are my thing and Halloween. She was a personal trainer, masseuse, yoga instructor. Worked at night and slept durings the day. Had to keep her equipment/bedding clean. Burned candles for relaxation techniques. Made smoothies and energy drinks. That was her business supplies.

The size 5 boots and shoes are samples from the manufacturer. I used to be a buyer for our shoe store. We’d go to Chicago to a hotel where each brand would rent out a room and display all their new styles and they where always size 5.
