Also just bought my first steam deck. Got the white one as well. And honestly same purpose for me. I’m not trying to play Cyberpunk or Red Dead on a hand held when I have a $6000 PC at home. I want to play more chill indie games, and emulate old relaxing games. Also will be nice to have something to do over lunch break at work. Hyped for mine to come in!

I love the trackpads on the Steam Deck. It makes strategies, mmos, typing and even browsing the internet using controller so much more comfortable.

Congrats on your buy, as I finally got my OLED a few months ago after putting off getting the LCD over and over again, as each time I planned to buy something came up. This is easily one of the best purchases I've made in my lifetime, and I look forward to whatever future models Valve comes up with. My main reason for wanting the SD was for emulation, and so far I haven't installed a single one, as I've been too busy playing indie games and several AAA titles as well. So enjoy the SD experience , as it is a truly one of a kind device(and that LE white looks awesome).

Congratulations on getting this beautiful white limited edition Steam Deck. I hope you and many others that have this will enjoy it for years to come. I, for one, unfortunately have had a bad experience with my white limited edition. On day 1, I have experience the installation loop. For about a week, I have been self trouble shooting and have been working with steam support to resolve the issue. Every time they gave me an instruction, it would cause a new issue. I knew that I had received a defective white steam deck. However, after all the troubleshooting, the steam support finally decided to send me a brand new replacement after I return my steam deck through their RMA return. I hope to God that this one works as it did with my LCD steam deck, which had 0 issues.

I bought a LED deck last month from eBay refurbished and it’s fantastic! I already have a switch and ps5 so it fills that pc space and indie niche (that doesn’t come to switch) for me perfectly. Great video!

I've never been an indie game player, but I've got an OLED in my Steam cart right now and the thought of being able to be in bed, on a flight, or at work and also play some cozy indie games or emulate some old ones sounds amazing. Play Aperture desk job! Recent game by Valve that's made specifically for the steam deck. It's a game meant to teach you the controls of the deck so it's short but it has a fun story set in the Portal universe. Also it's free! If you're a fan of portal this is a must. Also you have a good mindset for the deck being an indie machine - battery life is great with those. Old AAA games (10+ yo.) are also easy on the battery and 60+ fps

I've Pulled the trigger to finally purchase the 512gb LCD steamdeck model, its not gonna just be only for gaming its gonna be the machine to learn more about Linux Arch as a whole, since this is what the SteamOS is based on, so I thought about why not buy it since it was on sale during the Autumn/Black Friday Steam Sale, but yes I'll still be playing my indie games on it and Minecraft

Wild to me that you have less subs than you have videos. I got an rg35xxsp to play more pixel art indie games on the go. Buttons are a little rough but love having a pocketable game console to play my pixel games on. Highly recommend.

what do you think about the joy sticks wearing down and needing to being replaced? they dont sell grey joy stick replacements, so youd be putting black ones on and ruining the aesthetic.

how can you only have 75 subs man thats crazy great quality! few games I can recommend for deck the ori games are BEAUTIFUL metroidvanias "celeste" is my fav. game of all time, a great and beautiful 2D platformer for deck as you said, "gris" and "neva", both BEAUTIFUL games with a GREAT soundtrack just cause games are great for deck "Deviator" is a great hollow knight inspired game, still in early access tho "akimbot" is a great game, a loveletter to the old ratchet & clank / jack & daxter games "shadyknight" is a GREAT fast paced first person hacknslash, super smooth "disco elysium" if you want a GREAT detective story "okami" if you wanna have a great zeldalike experience, great story and art style "lunistice" is a great short fast paced 3d platformer "shovel knight", the grandpa of indie games dont need to explain lol "Axiom Verge" another great NES like metroidvania
