The reason to buy this machine over a Rzr.. beefier a arms, Radious rods, tender springs, floor board guards and good wheel tire combo from factory. Those items have to be replaced on a Rzr or you will eventually be broke down on a trail. Everyone wants to complain about the weight.. have you actually seen this machine? The front differential is twice the size of a Rzr, the cv axles entering the transmission are huge also it’s built very well. Those wheels and tires add weight also. Once you get all upgraded suspension bigger wheels and tires and the tools you will need to fix a Rzr in your bed it will be all over 1900 lbs. great review look forward to hear more !

Kawasaki plastic and rock sliders are 3/4 to 7/8 thick, like to see a tree branch penetrate that....... The kit is 3 parts for bottom of machine and lower a arms and trailing arms. Just because Polaris makes cheap plastic sliders dosent mean Kawasaki does. You can keep your RZR or Crap Am. The KRX was built to last

Kawasaki put a centrifugal clutch in front of the belt clutch. Its designed to take out the harshness of the belt engaging. So they engineered in that sluggishness.
@rzrlife5 жыл бұрын
Jim Mace that’s what I’m slowly figuring out. Needs just a little more woo pow off the line👊
@dannywilliams29895 жыл бұрын
Not correct, the clutch disengages so the belt always has tension on it. Unlike Polaris the belt on the krx is always engaged. Not slipping the belt keeps the belt from breaking. My 2014 Teryx is still on the original belt, and it’s been beaten on like these sport sxs’s never will be. I’ve pulled thousand pound+ trees up hill with it.
@jimmace61485 жыл бұрын
@@dannywilliams2989 CVT with Centrifugal Clutch: Complementing the high-torque response of the powerful 999 cc, liquid-cooled parallel twin engine, the CVT and centrifugal clutch are key to superior acceleration control at very slow speeds. The centrifugal clutch is located between the crankshaft and CVT drive pulley. This position allows it to eliminate the shock of the CVT belt engaging, which facilitates smooth departures from a stop. By eliminating the shock of the CVT belt engaging, the centrifugal clutch facilitates precise throttle control when navigating rock gardens or other tricky terrain and helps to reduce stress to the high-grade CVT belt. The CVT and transmission ratios were selected to offer optimum ride feel while ensuring stable engine braking characteristics. The engine braking offers reassuring support when descending steep inclines.

Engine brake , 4 link rear suspension. Same size tires all way around. Super easy to service compared to the rzr. I could go on and on. I’m just tired of working on my polaris. Always way over serviced and never beat on. Wheel bearings, ball joints, tie rod ends , clutches, ... non stop. Love my new KRX so far. I tested the machine and I very much Disagree that this is not a machine that will be good for Desert Racing , For one thing the Kawasaki has the second longest wheelbase of any of the side-by-sides which makes it ideal for desert racing , Yes Kawasaki has put a governor on the machine that limits the speed to 67 miles per hour but that is very easily overcome with some tweaking , Also there has already been a Turbocharger developed for the machine , And there's no reason why the Kawasaki twin can't make the same kind of horsepower that the Polaris twin makes ,, My only nitpicking is when Kawasaki came this late to the party they didn't make a machine that had 22 in travel or more to go head-to-head with a stock Can-Am , And they didn't make a purpose-built 3 cylinder motor that could really maximize horsepower..
@cbull3165 жыл бұрын
How can anyone, if they really know the industry think this machine would do good out in the desert? This thing is 1900 lbs, there's a lot more weight than anything else out there. And sure it might be capable of some pretty good power from a turbo kit but you're still going to have the weight of the machine. So unless you can get the extra horsepower while keeping the reliability to make up for the weight it's not going to make a good wide open desert machine. Only time will tell I guess, but I highly doubt this machine is capable of anymore then about 180 to 200 horsepower, Polaris and Can-Am with no upgrades or modifications are already at that power level with a lighter machine. I just don't see it ever competing with Polaris and Can-Am in the wide-open desert and Sand Dune application, at least not at this point.
@k-n-k77564 жыл бұрын
First off the longer the machine the better it handles at high speed ( if you dont know that you should own any machine) 2and the turbo charger kit is after market. Kawasaki is working on a supercharger kit which will give it alot more HP then the turbo kit. 3rd the can am will be pulled by a strap from a Kawasaki because its broken. So this machine is solid dosen't rattle like fred flintstones car and has the most durable suspension and frame and engine, just wait until there supercharger is on the machine and then we can have this conversation again. This is the first year yes the first year and they hit it out of the ball park. Wait until next model comes out It will all the other manufacturers look like idiots. Kawasaki heavy industries has been in the forefront of many things since the 80s when they had disc brakes on there bikes. Kawasaki leads in every segment period.

k bone You're right, the belt drive is far superior over a semi automatic that the Talon has, and who would want a Talon with puny little 28 inch wheels when the Kawasaki comes with 31 and bead locks. Kawasaki knocked it out of the park on their first attempt, well done Kawasaki!
@cbull3165 жыл бұрын
Belt systems are not nearly as much of a problem as people are complain about. They do go out from time to time but they can be replaced in about 15 minutes. People have already had problems with the Talon transmission which is the same transmission used in the pioneer. Yamaha yxz1000 is different but the same as it does not have a belt. I think I've heard of more clutch issues on a yxz 1000 the I can count. When any of these three machines, the yxz1000, the Honda Talon, or the Honda Pioneer have transmission problems you're done, you're being pulled back the truck and it will be a several hour job to fix either one of them especially the Honda Talon or pioneer.

Exactly, and not just the trail systems but think of the designs of a lot of toy haulers specially your open floor plan toy haulers. There's a lot of guys with these haulers out there that will not be able to fit a wider machine like this in their toy hauler and they spent so much money on their toy hauler that in most cases it won't be feasible to trade out for bigger one. It might make for good handling machine but I think Kawasaki made a poor decision to not have a 64 in machine, as far as I'm concerned with the little amount of power this machine has thet should make it in a 60 in.
