From what ive seen so far of the anime and its op its lost quite a bit in the transition to anime. Which isnt really surprising as the structure and lack of progression/really slow progression of the story makes it not really a series that translates well into a seasonal anime that needs a beginning and an end and a story to tell. While the series is really mainly about characters interactions in a long span of time and sometimes story happens when it feels like happening in the background almost

Idk if you’re a berserk fan, but even if you’re not I recommend collecting the deluxe volumes. They’re ~50 bucks each but you can buy them on sale for around 35, they’re absolutely phenomenal and the only way I’ll read berserk

Idk if u mighr have read this back in da day but my local libary happens to have lots of manga and I saw most of the volumes for D.Gray-Man so I decided "why not?" and picked up the first 5. Fell in love instantly. Imo its like a mix of full-metal alchemist brotherhood and demon slayer being just as dark and yet comedic as those two and the "abilty system" allows really any kind of character, powers, and problems to come into play. I dont wanna spoil too much but i must tell the people the truth: no character is actually named D.Gray-Man. It's just the title. I recommend all of yall to pick it up if you want another series similar to full metal alchemist brotherhood and demon slayer. Fire Force fans might like it as well. The series is still ongoing but new volumes release like every 3 years now. There should be 26 volumes by now so it will still be a decently long read. Btw this opinion is of a newcommer to the series so it might not end up being anything like fmab or demon slayer in the end, so don't keep ur expectations super high.

SUSTAIN THE INDUSTRY LETS GOOOOO I love the artwork of Platinum End and the covers are amazing but the story is so underwhelming, I picked it up for Obata’s art anyways but I just feel like Ohba’s writing wasn’t there and I dropped it i guess kinda early on. Sheesh, its been a min since you did one of these. I always love the chill vibe and breakdown of each series, etc. And when you said you was far behind on a some series I could relate so much because I'm deadass behind on a lot of series LMAO. Like I still gotta read JJK, I gotta watch Vivy, I haven't started Konosuba, etc. I'll eventually get some of those finished 😂 As for Fire Force tho, I still gotta watch season 2 and read the manga. The fanservice isn't THAT BAD or over the top IMO from I seen so far. And that Downfall series sounds really interesting, I feel like I would def read that in the nighttime for some reason idky but it just feels right. I'm all for storytelling so I'll definitely add that onto my read list. At least you’re watching blood blockade I loved it 😂. Tokyo revengers though honestly it’s fair. At least you watched some of it though 🤩. Honestly takemitchy can be a bit early on in the seires, what with being a crybaby a lot of the times you tend to drift towards the other characters more. I can only really relate to takemitchy more cause I was kinda like that as a kid.
