I read Alice In Borderland back in April of this year. During that time period in my life I was and still am suffering from OCD & Major Anxiety. I deal with the genuine question of,”Am I really happy? Is life worth living? What happens next?” But this manga, gave me somewhat of a answer. It taught me that somewhere along the way that things will get better, and so far, things are looking better for me. Your “why” in the world is gonna come soon, all you gotta do is live in the moment and wait.

I'm actually so happy to see you finally cover this. This manga is one of my all-time favorites and it's something I resonated with deeply. Especially the final game and how everything concluded. Even though it was ambiguous, for me, it was that ambiguity that made it all the more real. I genuinely found it beautiful because of how the story tied everything together into this theme of finding your own purpose, your own answers, and reasons to carry on and continue living.

I just finished reading it and it got me. I did get teary. That whole last game just got me on a personal level. I really am a human and we really are experiencing everything. I have wondered about the meaning of live and gone through that sadness of looking for that answer but it brings nothing, only meaningless wandering. Once you truly embrace life it is then that meaning doesn't matter, you simply just live. One of the most beautiful manga I've read. I thought that it was going nowhere with all that violence and edgy-ness but no, It didn't do a Gantz and it actually delivered. I am absolutely satisfied with the ending and the message it portrayed. Truly beautiful

I LOVE this kind of thought-provoking life theme. The first was Pixar's "Soul". The idea of the purpose of life and finding your "sparks", it hit me like a truck. But Alice in Borderland, man. As a 17 turning 18 this year, that still knows little to nothing about life and how I suppose to live my life in this world as I am now, I can relate myself to Arisu. The whole thing about the manga, it's like it injected a poison and was slowly burning me from the inside. It's really really beautiful. I have yet to have an understanding about life and the world around me, I hope I can understand them one day as I try to do so along the way.

Besides the cool, interesting and creative games the meaning of this manga and the metaphor the borderland stands for is just so nice. Oh! I've read this manga a long time ago... It was pretty decent. Ending is kind of confusing af and you'd be forgiven if some people think the manga is a bit pretentious and doesn't answer several questions. But regardless, it was a decent read and I love that the manga focuses on several characters other than Arisu as most of them are pretty good. Anyways, fun fact that I was the guy that created the TV Tropes page for Alice in Borderland (Sadly I now hate that website for personal reasons that I don't wanna delve into) and thanks to this manga, I tend to hear these two songs in question. Although... *sigh*, one of the songs were sung by the guy who got into a controversy that I won't delve into (He is the guy who voiced Shiva from Record of Ragnarok and Daikichi Karube from Alice in Borderland OVA btw) and these are the songs in question. Recommend to hear it, it's a banger: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6q8nIalZ7aLqs0 kzbin.info/www/bejne/p16aeJaEo9ymqpY (I recommend you to separate the artist from the art due to the controversy the singer had)

I came here from Netflix - I think the show was amazing...Haven't read the manga yet. How the heck can they adapt this but not Deathnote?

This manga was ahead of its time. Plot twists and subverting expections are top tier. Games are "fun", the 4 categories keep you guessing what's next. Along with what the cards are for. Supporting, side and main characters are overall great, everyone contributes to the plot or is entertaining af to watch. The ending... just wow. I finished reading it a while back (2020) and thinking about it I'm still shocked by what the boarderlands are. And how the author teased theories people might have had. *Minor spoiler ahead* The chapter where Chishire played mahjong didn't really get me as hyped as the other chapters. I spent 6 hours trying to learned how mahjong worked but then said fuck it and read without knowing how Chishire was kicking the other contestants asses. I didn't get as much enjoyment out of it as I should've but it didn't ruin the chapter for me. Still had a fun read.

The part of earning points from games to live reminded me of Deadman Wonderland

I literally JUST finished reading this manga after watching the show and I really gotta say it’s amazing. I already rewatched the show a lot but the manga is a whole different level. Besides the story being intriguing, I love works that make me think differently about life. AIB and EEAAO really did that for me and will stick with me. I really rushed through reading this and could barely stop. I like the ending too. Not to mention that every character was perfect and needed? How do you even do that… I can’t wait for s2 to once again revisit this story but I think I’ll probably read it two more times anyway.
