Bro.. I cant believe u bought a van.. Honestly this is one of the best moves youve made.. Having a van is like having a second home.. U can bog down in it if your stuck in a bind out in the middle of knowhere with knowhere to stay, you can go around picking up free shit that you just couldnt fit in a car.. You can go the the diy stores and load up on shit.. Shit Man, once I bought a van, I swear to god ill never be without one again.. I even put a roof rack on my Bitch.. Surfboards, bikes, all possible with a van..

The van is slick! The kerclunk when you put it in gear is usually u-joints. They are not a big deal. It’s something that I would spend $40-$60 and replace in my driveway myself. But they can cause serious problems if left unchecked. Talk to a friend that is knowledgeable about vehicles and at least have them check it. I’ve seen a $20 u-joint fail and break a transmission in half.

Verry nice, build a small workbench in. And place one of those Ecoflow powerbanks in the back so you can charge on the go. The larger ones (still verry portable) have a plug for your soldering irons and such.

I usually don’t recommend additives as possible repairs for 99% of car problems(mainly oil leaks/engine knocks, that stuff doesn’t work at all), but in the case a 1500 chevy with high milage having hard shifts, Lucas Oil Transmission Fix is great product that works pretty well at clearing stuff like that up without invasive repairs. You can get it at pretty much any parts store or even walmart for very cheap, and it’s totally worth a try at clearing that problem up, or at least making it less pronounced. It’s really easy to do and there are plenty of videos on the best way to use it. I’ve used it on a few 1500 Silverado’s and it works extremely well.

I drive a dodge caravan. Yes it's atypical for a guy to drive but it does it all. I can sleep in it, load up fpv gear, pull a trailer, and nice and comfy to drive on roadtrips. I'll never drive anything else

Damn it's cool you came to DE, if only technically based on that bridge lmao. I've not been flying long but it's hard finding places in southern DE, mostly farms and trees. I've never ran into another FPV pilot either, other than a coworker I got into it before he moved, the handful of flyers all casually use DJI and a screen. The van looks sick tho, can't wait to see what you turn it into, "it's not changing" never last long lol.

My parents have owned a quick lube shop for 25 years. Sounds like a transmission filter change and flush should take care of that bump you feel when putting it into drive. It’ll extend the life of the van quite a bit too. Should be $200-$250 and worth it.
